Excellent restaurant & new discovery in Montreal! Apparently, they opened up just a few months ago, so kudos to the team! I took my lady there for Valentine's day & we took the tasting menu. The food was great: delicious flavours, generous quantities, all served in beautiful dishes to share. Every thing was authentic & well executed. I highly recommend!

Very much enjoyed the whole experience. From the friendly staff to the delicious dishes. Nothing fried & no seed oils in any of their dishes.

I NEED to leave a glowing review even if my order was via Uber Eats & I clearly missed the in-house atmosphere & hospitality. Every bite was fantastic! Bursting with flavors & textures & color. The fattoush was probably my favorite in all of Montreal. Tangy, spiced, & a hint of sweetness. It was hard to stop myself from eating the entire bowl (because I wanted to still try the other dishes). The baked chicken toast was unique & tasty. I'm not vegan/vegetarian but I happen to like vegetarian kibbeh, & those are hard to find in Montreal restaurants. The baked-not-fried method of cooking is an excellent healthy upgrade. The freekeh with chicken was beautifully plated/decorated even for delivery, & the chicken itself was so tender & flavorful! I MUST congratulate whoever thought of the packaging design for to-go items. Everything is neatly packaged in aesthetic cling-film trays so nothing spills in transit. Perfect to take to work, picnics, potlucks. If this was'just' delivery, I am eager to experience the in-person food & service! A side note: people who rated the resto poorly because of less authentic dishes - this is OKAY. They are transparent about wanting to offer healthier ways to eat traditional dishes. They have also created their own take on certain things & that's OKAY too! Nobody said they are trying to be some other traditional resto with strict'correct' ingredients or flavors. They are being creative, & I can appreciate that, even if others don't. LOVED IT, I need more!

Excellent food & service. Can't go wrong coming here.

We arrived 7 mins past their kitchen closing time in the afternoon, & the owner made an exception & let us dine, which we were grateful for. What followed was nothing short of an incredible culinary experience.

The dishes were diverse, exceptionally well-executed, & all had their own subtly creative but approachable flair.

The environment is curated but inviting. The vibe is relaxed but upscale - an embodiment of some of the best parts of the Montréal food scene.

Staff are all friendly & attentive, like they care about your experience, & like they enjoy working there!

It is a nice cozy authentic Lebanese resto! Servive was outstanding!
The appetizers were good except the batata harra ( spicy potato) which was very dry & tasted old & reheated. The cocktails were tasty but weak. The main dishes were delicious !!! I ordered freekeh & lamb!!! & it was exquisite!!!
Not lots of vegetarian main dishes!
Would I go back? Yes, to try other dishes before giving my final opinion!
BTW I am Lebanese so I know & understand the menu…

Food was tasty, ambiance was really good, but frankly the portions are not very generous (smaller than expected) for the price. We had invited some friends & I was a bit embarrassed with the size of the dishes. :-(

Amazing food, 100% hit super close to home. Everything my wife & I ordered was so delicious & the restaurant itself was really great, everyone there was super nice, got to meet the owner & the chef too & they were great. I'm definitely coming back, my favorite dish that my wife & I ordered has to be a tie between the Báyrüt Hummus & the L'sanat, I haven't eaten those two dishes like that since I was a kid, I've never had it that perfect anywhere else in Canada & for my wife she absolutely loved the Kebbey Nayee & even said she's never had it that tasty outside of home. We had also ordered Warak Enab & it was so juicy & delicious. & to finish it all off we got to try the Ghzel El Banet with ice cream & omg was it amazing. Couldn't be more perfect

I have been to almost all the recommended lebanese restaurant in town & although mediterranean food is great, after a while, all the menus are almost a replica of each other, one a little more fancy on the plating, one a bit more delicate, one has a little twist of the fattouch but at the end, it's predictable. I was pleasantly surprised to at Bayrut to find items I have never tasted before! The Bayrut chicken toast, the bayrut butter that is handmade & prepped for hours, their lahmajoun was different, the shish barak, which is not normally something I like, was prepared differently making the little'dumplings' softer in the bite, the freekeh... It is really true family cooking found in all parts of Lebanon & not just your usual popular dishes.

If you're looking for an extraordinary dining experience in Montreal, look no further than Bayrut Restaurant. From the moment you step inside, the warm & inviting atmosphere sets the stage for an unforgettable meal.

The highlight of our visit was the generosity of the owner, who went above & beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. He treated us to an array of complimentary entrees, each more delightful than the last. It was like a delicious journey through the rich tapestry of Lebanese cuisine, showcasing vibrant flavors & authentic ingredients.

When our main dishes arrived, they did not disappoint. Each plate was beautifully presented & bursting with flavor. The care & passion that goes into the food were evident in every bite.

The service was impeccable throughout our visit, with attentive staff who made us feel like valued guests. If you're a fan of Lebanese cuisine or just looking to try something new, Bayrut is a must-visit. We left with full bellies & happy hearts, eager to return for another taste of their culinary delights!

We went for the tasting menu which is highly recommended. A lot of great appetizers but the stars were definitely the main dishes. We initially wanted to order the Mleheyee (lamb) but they had run out, & a new batch was going to take an hour or so. So we ordered the chicken Freekeh. To our surprise, they did manage to get us a small lamb plate for tasting & it was absolutely amazing! Overall a wonderful experience. Looking forward to trying your brunch!

This review is based on an independent visit, aiming for objectivity. While Bayrut Restaurant serves respectable Middle Eastern cuisine, there are other options in Montreal that offer **greater value & superior flavors** for the price.

The food at Bayrut is decent but not distinctive. The restaurant advertises fresh ingredients, yet only provides lemonade made from imported syrup. Bread servings were notably minimal, which was especially disappointing for dishes like hummus, labneh, brown butter, & kibbeh niyeh-frequently eaten with bread, but here, I resorted to using a fork. Rice portions were also sparse & failed to complement the otherwise tasty kibbeh arnabieh, which was the highlight of the meal. The three types of kibbeh niyeh (walnut, rose petals, pistachios) failed to impress, & the hummus was comparably ordinary.

Overall, Bayrut did not stand out from other Middle Eastern restaurants in Montreal. The experience lacked the transportive aromas, flavors, & hospitality you expect in a standout establishment. Service was satisfactory but showed signs of inexperience, with some staff evidently still undergoing training.

In short, Bayrut felt indistinguishable from several other unremarkable restaurants in Montreal; neither the ambiance, nor the food, nor the generosity made the visit memorable.

Came with a group of around 10 for lunch & had a wonderful meal. We shared a lot of dishes & some highlights were the fresh bread with butter & cheese, the Baba Ganoush, & the Veggie Shish Barak. Service was very friendly & prompt, will definitely be back :)

Best place we've eaten at all year! One of the reviews I read said this restaurant deserves to be a Michelin star restaurant, & I agree. Luckily we are in Montreal for a few more days & will be able to return to try out some of the other dishes on the menu. We had the loubieh, the shish barak & the daily special of cabbage stuffed with ground lamb & rice & everything was cooked & seasoned to perfection.
