The soups & the steak were excellent. The ribs were nothing special. The mille-feuille was mediocre. Our experience with the staff wasn't very good. Our server was cold, never smiled. She put our dessert plates super fast at the corner of our table & left, like we were at a cheap diner. When we paid the bill, while saying it was all set, she took it fast & murmured a small "Thank you" while going to another direction. No eye contact, no "Have a good day". For the record, we were polite & left a 20% tip. To be completely honest, I even felt discriminated, because the server had a more positive attitude with other tables. At the end, we just didn't feel welcome. So we will go to La Cage next time, as we usually do.
Our waiter was fantastic. Food was just OK. Calamari was very oily & rubbery. Booking a table was ridiculous! Wouldn't book for 5 only 6! We did end up being 6, & then we had to wait like everyone else who didn't have a reservation when we arrived. My first time & I wasn't impressed overall.
Haven't been in years, being from the area I was disappointed.. The new decor is nice but the food was a bit underwhelming. Steak & mash are very good but portions small, 2 pieces of brocoli & one cauliflower.. Coleslaw doesn't taste the same. Steak was flooded with chimichurri instead of small bowl next to it. I'll settle for burgers next time. At that price I was expecting more.
The ribs at the bar don't taste the same as before. I've been going to Baton Rouge for many years & these ribs taste like an inferior product.
Wonderful experience. Service was incredible. Theo L was very present & professional. 100% would recommend . Perfect service.
My family & I always order delivery from this place this was my first time dine in, had very good time. The staff is sweet & friendly the atmosphere is so cozy & the food is tasty & fresh. Definitely coming back for more food to try different dishes from their tasty menu 😋

Always a great time when sitting at the bar with Sara & Mike. They are just Za Best In Ze West!!!! You won't regret getting served by them, 5 stars service. See you guys again soon

if you're like me & enjoy sitting at the bar, you might get a chance to meet the one & only SuperMike. he always greets us with a smile & his attention to detail is unmatched. food is on point & drinks are always good & well priced. always good times at baton rouge!
I love eating at the bar! Mike the barkeep is always cheery, very funny, & very service oriented. He delights in making sure our experience is 5 star every time we go. I don't go out much for lunch these days, but the BR on Decarie is usually my restaurant of choice when I have the time. Great burgers too!
