Nous avons du tomber sur le mauvais jour , le 13 juillet...nos 2 burgers ont mis 45 minutes à être servi...après des tables arrivées après nous...sûrement oublié ou réchauffé...Le serveur a tenté de nous rassurer plusieurs fois...ça arrivé...bref ..expérience à oubliée..service 18% qui frôle l escroquerie....
I'm writing this review not only about one time I've been there but two times I was there. Just from the first sentence you should consider this place when visiting Montréal or even if you're a resident. The reason is that when I'm on vacation I don't like going to the same restaurant twice because I've already been there & I prefer to find another place to explore more. Which brings me to the review itself. The staff at Bâton Rouge is really kind & understanding. They make sure to understand exactly what you want instead of assuming & ordering something you don't want. The reason I say this is because in a couple places I've been the server wasn't very kind & assumed our orders. But now onto the food. The first time I went I got myself their standard burger which I believe was named "Bâton Rouge Burger" but I could be wrong, I asked for no bacon on it because I've had a few bad experiences with bacon burgers. But bacon or no bacon I think the burger was amazing, honestly it was like an actual burger not like those from ©McDonalds or any other burger place. The second time I had a Ribeye steak & let me tell you, it was great. The steak was done medium well & turned out perfect with a hint of pink in the middle just as I expected, the surface was also dark brown just as it's supposed to be. I recommend getting the Ribeye when coming, they really care about what the quality of the food is. I really enjoyed my time at Bâton Rouge & I will definitely be coming back. Thank you!
J'y étais avec un groupe pour regarder un match de soccer. Ils ont des téléviseurs pour les événements sportifs, donc c'est cool. C'était bien mais sans plus. Je ne suis pas particulièrement impressionné par la cuisine. Ceci étant dit, c'est peut-être que c'est moins mon genre de restaurant (steakhouse) & que je m'attendais à un menu plus traditionnellement cajun vu le nom du resto. Ou c'est peut-être le malaise gastrique que j'ai eu plus tard en soirée. Je ne sais pas. Les crevettes tempuras étaient bonnes. Les ribs étaient bonnes. Les frites étaient plutôt oubliables à mon avis; en juliennes trop minces & petites, & elles n'étaient pas assez consistantes pour goûter la pomme de terre. La salade de choux était originale & savoureuse! Service courtois. Belle terrasse.
Diverse menu with delicious items. Friendly staff & a very nice atmosphere.
The steaks are not it. Better done home by my husband. They used to be good now very average.
Service impeccable! Menu varié, tous les plats sont bons. Nous avons bien aimé le mafalda au homard. La bière est servie rapidement & elle est bien froide. Il y a un terrain de stationnement directement devant le restaurant. La prochaine fois nous allons essayer leur terrasse. Bien hâte de retourner à ce restaurant!
This is a really nice place. Great food & service, &, as I found out, great customers who were not afraid to include a stranger.
It's very basic for a bbq place. Prices are too high for the quality served. Server need to be trained better.
The personnel is very friendly, it did not exceed my expectations. If your specialty is Meat, I could say that there are better places. We ordered 2 cuts of meat & most of the meat was burnt, the squid starter in the same way, very burnt. the vegetables were raw.
Every times i eat there i am happy cause the food is really good. Best ribs, best baked potato! Very good service too.
