Wonderful mixed seafood platter with a group. Great classical atmosphere, wonderful cocktails, excellent service with a smile.
The parmesan cheesy chips & haloumi strips were a little on the salty side but tasty

Our happy place for cocktails & tapas style food after a long work week! Oliver & both Quentin's making us cocktails From another planet along with Dj Contact hitting the right tunes on a friday night, makes this bar 2nd to none! Love the vibe & everything else about it here!!!
Bar Dominion est vite devenu un de mes coups de coeur. Ambiance tamisée, cocktails impeccables & un menu disponible jusqu'à tard. Mention spéciale à Isaac pour son service chaleureux & souriant!
Une très belle adresse! Le lieu est magnifique & bien tenu. Le bar est somptueux & le personnel de service arborent des chemises & tabliers blancs immaculés. La carte des cocktails est très intéressante & le menu de nourriture est accès sur le finger food.
Delicious cocktails that need no gimmicks to stand out from the rest of the Montreal cocktail scene. Every aspect of the food was clearly chosen with precision, & was incredibly flavourful.
Lovely spot for drinks right next to the park. Great outdoor terrace in the summer & the inside is cute as well. Good cocktail & wine options & the food menu has great options as well. Service was quick.
Visited on July 4th around 10:30 PM.
We had a reservation for two, & the bar was half empty when we arrived. Despite that, the hostess took us to the far end of the bar, right next to the kitchen entrance, where it already smelled like fish. On the way there, we passed several available tables for two & four, & many guests were sitting in pairs at four-person tables with no issue.
We politely asked if we could move to one of the free tables, pointing out that others were sitting at larger tables too. The hostess insisted those tables were being held for larger groups. After a short back & forth, she finally agreed to seat us at a four-top (which wasn't even cleaned yet), cleaned it up, but warned us that if a party of four arrived, we'd have to move. The two-person table we were not offered remained empty.
This kind of treatment left a bad impression. The way the hostess handled it made us feel unwelcome, even though the place was far from full.
On the bright side, the cocktails were okay & the waitstaff were friendly & polite.
But honestly, we don't feel like coming back.

Un incontournable pour un 5@7 élégant & détendu
J'adore l'endroit ! Le Bar Dominion combine à merveille une ambiance élégante & décontractée, parfaite pour un 5@7 entre collègues ou amis. Les cocktails sont excellents, avec une mention spéciale pour leur Espresso Martini, finement dosé & parfaitement équilibré.
Le service est irréprochable : attentif, professionnel & chaleureux. Un lieu où l'on revient avec plaisir.
Vraiment nice, surtout apres les rush hours. J'y suis allé pour rejoindre des amis vers 23h, les bar tender totalement focus sur nous, musique d'ambiance jouée a partir d'une collection de vinyle super, cocktails de grande qualité pour un prix tres normale. Merci a cette equipe tres chalereuse pour cette belle soirée. Je reviendrais.

Un peu moins fan des cocktails & de l'ambiance depuis les rénos, je préférais le look plus d'une autre époque d'avant… certains éléments sont restés, mais le gros écran numérique dans la salle de bain par exemple brise un peu l'ambiance de cet endroit. Le service y était toutefois très bien
Friday evening mid to late winter. Service was excellent at table & bar. Any bar worth its weight in gold should be able to make classic cocktails. Ordered a couple of Manhattan which were top notch. Later some wine & Cava. Also good choices with the oysters & nibbles. Frequented this place in the 80´s when it was a more traditional tavern, later in the 2000's along with its sister bar the Balsam. Its most recent guise bodes well. I think if they added a better selection of craft beers it would be nice. The crowd was mixed, diverse, cross generational & upbeat. The ladies were looking mighty fine…this spot always seemed to attract a disproportionately cross section of elegant & beautiful Montreal women. This brings forth some class acts from the manly world. All this to say decent evening. The Bartenders are the real deal & so are the servers. Class act all the way. There seemed to not be any women working the joint & the men working were tight & smooth. Final note…it feels like Mtl in there.
This is a nicely lit cosy bar in Downtown Montreal. The decor seems to take you back to the early 20th Century. There was a good selection of cocktails but the food menu is restricted. My first main course I had to send back as it came out cold. It is a shame as I thought this was going to be better than it turned out to be.
