Opéré par nul autre que le chef Hamdi (plus de 40 ans d'expérience et l'ancien propriétaire de La Villa Bella, Coin méchoui), le restaurant vous propose un menu alléchant, à travers ses plats colorés et savoureux. Grillades mixtes, shishtaouks, shawarmas, plats égyptiens authentiques tels que moussaka et shakshuka, poulet, salades...tout est à faire saliver!
Dans l ensemble, Baba Hamdi offre une expérience culinaire égyptienne authentique avec une hospitalité chaleureuse et un intérieur cosy et accueillant. Le menu propose des incontournables comme l'houmous avec du pain pita égyptien, le koshari, le kofta, le molokhia et le mosakka, et de nombreux avis élogient le houmous maison comme point fort. Les portions généreuses et le bon rapport qualité prix sont soulignés, même lorsque les tarifs sont un peu plus élevés, et les plats semblent soigneusement préparés et délicieux. L ambiance est décrite comme chaleureuse et familiale, avec un service attentif et le chef qui prend le temps d échanger avec les clients. Quelques notes mentionnent un service un peu lent mais l expérience globale reste excellente et les plats du Ramadan comme le macaroni béchamel ajoutent à l'expérience. This is my first visit to this place. The impression is fantastic; they deserve 5 stars. The owner & staff are incredibly friendly. If you're planning a trip to Egypt or want to relive some memories from there, head to Baba Hamdi Restaurant. It's a piece of Egypt; Egyptian culture permeates the place. My child & I loved it, & we'll definitely be back with some friends.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm & welcoming. We tried a variety of traditional Egyptian dishes, & everything was absolutely delicious-full of rich flavors & clearly made with care & authenticity. It's not every day you find food that feels both comforting & exciting at the same time.
The service was friendly & attentive, & you can really tell they take pride in what they do. If you're looking to explore authentic Egyptian cuisine or just want a memorable dining experience, this place is a must-visit.

I had the vegetarian platter & it was very tasty, nicely presented & the portions were good. The hummus & warm Egyptian style pita was delicious. My wife had the grilled lamb & big smiles all around.
We went to this restaurant a while back because we wanted to try authentic Egyptian food. We were very impressed with everything. The salad, bread & hummus he brings out before the main dish is fresh & delicious. The main course we had involved chicken & rice & it was very good as well. It was well worth the wait since that's the only drawback we could find. Which is that the service is a bit slow but acceptable for the quality you're getting. You can tell the owner cares about the quality of the food he serves.
Being Egyptian, we've been looking for a good Egyptian restaurant for a while. & we are super glad we found Baba Hamdi. We made the drive from Terrebonne because we wanted to try, & boy are we happy that we did!
Everything was delicious, prices reasonable, & everything authentic.
Koshari, kofta, molokhia… I'm getting hungry that typing this out. Not to mention finishing the evening with some mint tea. Just a perfect evening for my mother's birthday.
Baba Hamdi is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm, beautifully decorated interior. The food was nothing short of amazing: authentic Egyptian flavors, perfectly seasoned, & served in impressively large portions that easily satisfy even the heartiest appetite.
Customer service here is exemplary. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles & attentiveness throughout the meal, & to top it all off, the Chef himself came over to walk me through the menu.
Overall, Baba Hamdi delivers on every front, delicious food, outstanding service, & charming atmosphere. A solid 10/10, I can't wait to go back!
Excellent food & service! Warm & friendly staff & atmosphere. We really enjoyed our evening. We tried the Egyptian specialities & they were awesome. I highly recommend the Baba Hamdi restaurant!
