I gatherings missing staff. My bread dish was greasy & had died food on it. I asked for a new plate, but never came. I took another plate from another table & was also dirty. During the evening I went to bathroom. It was smelly & my shoes were sticking on the floor with all the usine. If they cannot keep a bathroom clean, i am woundering what the closed kitchen looks like.
Ate here yesterday for my 40th birthday with my family & it was so-so to ok. 1) Very nice restaurant, clean with modern decor. 2) Waiter did not come often to check if we needed more water, bread or if everything was ok. 3) Food took extremely long to come & my son had to wait 15 mins for his food to get served, after ours was served. So his sister shared her food with him because he had nothing served until 15 mins later. 4) Very hard to get the attention of a waiter when we needed more water or wanted to order more food from the menu. 5) Au Vieux Duluth Dorion is 20 mins away & has very fast attentive service with the food tasting even better. 6) My 6 & 3 year old kids were served watery orange juice in tall wine glasses, filled to the brim with straws. What was the waiter thinking to serve these to children! This was a spilled mess disaster waiting to happen. At the Dorion restaurant, they are always given apple juice in a child appropriate bottles. Overall, we came to the DDO location to make it easier for my West Island family to attend. But next time, we're sticking to the Dorion location which offers a better customer experience for your money.
The food was really good, the only reason it's only a four star is because there was a little bit of a wait for the food but they gave us some good bread 🥖 as appetizers. The location was very good.
Horrible Service, went there at 6pm, Busboy came to pour water around 6.30 pm. Had to wait another 20 mins for the bread service, Finally waitress came to take order around 7.30 pm. We had to wait 2 hours to get served.
Food was just fine (only if you're very hungry). Calamari is just okay, nothing special, overcooked pork souvlaki, overcooked rice cooked with to much water, soggy salad which I think was sitting on its dressing for too long, bland potatoes, chicken strips for kids meal was dry. Regarding service, the place was half full, mean busy, there's only 1 waiter, 1 receptionist which help with the food & 1 who always fill-up water (He's nice though an always keeps refilling cold water). So this means that they're always on a rush. People kept coming in, Waiter never asks us for a drink if we need one, the kids meal on the menu says it includes a drink & an ice cream, waiter never give us anyhing or even asks us that it comes with it. So meaning, the price that we paid ($139 + tip) I think, in my opiniin, is not worth it. Food is not bad but not good either, we will never come back. Luckily we are very hungry that we ate everything, we paid for it anyway, we don't want to waste food. Casa Greque nearby was 10 times better but sadly it's already closed. Butterflied shrimps & bread & butter was good though.
Cold, tasteless, dirty, mediocre at best. This restaurant has been around forever, just like it's demographic. To begin, service was fine, atmosphere was fine, where my distaste began was with the dirty wine glasses. We had multiple wine glasses that were foggy & dirty inside. I ordered the beef 12oz burger "steak", asked for it to be medium rare & it was certainly more on the rare side. Speaking of rare, it's not often I find myself eating cold food, but the meat was cold. Also ordered the fried fish which was still a bit frozen & wet in the middle. Potatoes were potatoes, rice is rice, salad was fine. Butter was frozen, bread was cold, the only thing that we ordered that was worth it was the entrees. For the price, each meal was 19$ or more. Overall you can definitely find yourself better Greek food one boulevard over at Marathons Souvlaki, or down the street at ur local Kojax. Would not recommend this place to anyone who is genuinely looking for a quality meal for the price.
