The place is lively & noisy but not unnecessarily, there are lots of people having a good time, but it is noisy. We ordered scallops appetizer ( which was very fresh, & citrusy), foie gras poutine (my kids loved this), & Plonge de Champlain (excellent crispy pancake, with amazing sweet syrup). All were excellent, & the service was very informative & took our kids wishes to heart. We also ordered the duck in a can which tasted good, but the duck breast had a large sinewy piece running through it which made the breast very hard to cut. On my previous visits I have been wowed by the food (beef stew served in a pumpkin, or chicken balls that were the most chickeny thing I have ever had) , & service but this time I wasn't. Hard to tell if it was familiarity with the product or if things have slipped. Still an excellent time.
Amazing experience at Au Pied de Cochon to celebrate a birthday! The food is rich & delicious, but there are smaller starters that allow you to try more of the menu! The service was fantastic & attentive, & price was reasonable for the quality of food! Highly recommend this place for a special occasion.

Wonderful food & amazing warm & welcoming staff. Fun atmosphere. The foie gras poutine, Plogue a Champlain, porkchop, Salade Bleue all delicious. Must visit when in Montreal for the excellent drinks, fabulous food & convivial atmosphere. Sit T the bar for an amazing evening out!!
We were 6 people; 4 of which were from out of town. The server was engaging & attentive. Everyone's meals were delicious. We started with the oysters, scallops, & foie gras poutine. Then our mains were Duck in a Can, the lamb dish (one of the specials), pork chop, Quenelle (surprisingly amazing), & lamb shank. Then we had Pudding Chomeur, passion fruit pavlova, & a coffee/maple flan-type dessert. Everything was fantastic from beginning to end. Also notable was their homemade Baileys/Irish cream that was delicious.
Had a great experience at PDC, food was really good so was the vibe of the place. The Lamb was my favorite meal. Perfectly cooked.
Outstanding Quebecois cuisine & service. I'm still dreaming about the maple syrup pavlova with passion fruit!

Bien que le souper était savoureux. Le service a été lent. Arrivé à 8h30 servit à 10h passé & une assiette a été retardé en plus. C'est toutefois un endroit magnifique une resto à visité au moins 1 fois.

The place is tight & loud, not really a pleasant ambiance. 5 stars purely for the food & service. If calories are not your enemy, don't miss the duck in the can which is perfectly cooked with foie gras in its own fat!
Energetic atmosphere, friendly attentive service, colossal wine list, duck confit with fois gras, bacon & cabbage, one of my most memorable meals in the last 5 years.
Bouffe EXCELLENTE, service HORS PAIR. Un peu bruiyant mais rien de trop derangeant, ca fait parti de l'ambiance.
Cuisine excellente. Le foie gras, le canard en canne sont des incontournables. Nous avons eu la chance de goûter à un ris de veau à l'oseille qui fut tout à fait incroyable. Service exceptionnel avec des gens d'expérience. Merci Arthur. Ambiance un peu bruyante mais dans l'ensemble, une excellente adresse à Montréal. Les portions sont nettement au-dessus de la moyenne; ne pas hésiter à partager les plats ! Bon appétit !
We loved our experience! The pork chop blew me away! Dry-aged & seared beautifully with a tasty sauce with mushrooms. Served with pressed cabbage. 10/10
Simply one of the best restaurant on earth. Because it blends gorgeous & generous food, friendly & passionate service & a unique relaxed & cramped atmosphere Can't get enough of this place!
