It also was Antony Bourdain's. Since then the menu has expanded to include new scallop, fish & creative Japanese dishes put always keeping the original foie gras & pig dishes that made them famous. Michael, the chef & his team greets his guests as if they were his clients for ever. The vibes, the food & the staff makes this place not to be missed. I love the place Roge
Le Tamaki de canard était une délectation pour les papilles, mariant avec subtilité le tartare de canard, la mayonnaise épicée & le nori. Cependant, la véritable révélation de la soirée fut la tarte au boudin, un chef-d'oeuvre gastronomique qui restera gravé dans ma mémoire comme l'un des meilleurs plats que je n'ai jamais dégusté. Chaque composante de ce plat était exécutée avec une précision remarquable, offrant une expérience gustative incomparable. Le pudding chômeur, avec son mariage audacieux de vieux cheddar & de foie gras, a également su captiver mes sens, ajoutant une touche finale raffinée à ce festin mémorable. Le service, orchestré de manière magistrale, révélait une harmonie parfaite entre les membres du personnel, leur coordination semblant presque chorégraphique. Leur professionnalisme & leur dévouement ont grandement contribué à l'excellence de cette expérience culinaire. Je félicite chaleureusement le chef & toute l'équipe du restaurant le Pied de Cochon pour avoir offert une expérience gastronomique & un service d'exception. Je recommande vivement cet établissement à tous les connaisseurs en quête d'une expérience culinaire inoubliable.

My favorite dish was the sea urchin pasta appetizer, a delicious creamy flavorful masterpiece. The first entre, fresh trout was cooked to perfection with a flavorful sauce & was a very generous portion. The second entre, was a spicy sausage & tofu with pappardelle...divine! I highly recommend a mocktail or cocktail, so unique & tailored to our tastes. If you have room, desserts are decadent & very creative. An all around wonderful meal! Thank you Chefs & Fred!

Encore une fois, super bien reçu, assis au bar face à la cuisine & quel plaisir de voir travailler toute la brigade ! La cheffe (dont je ne me souviens pas de son nom) mène la cuisine de main de maître ! & que dire du service ! A truly special place. Everything they prepared was incredibly delicious, beautiful & served with warmth & kindness. If you can, try to reserve seats at the bar so you'll be right in the action as their hard-working chefs & team work in an impressive symphony of collaboration to bring your amazing, creative & delightful dishes. Truly worth the wait to get in & definitely deserves all of the love this place has received over the years! Thank you guys for such a memorable time & keep up the wonderful work!!

What an amazing/adventurous experience this evening was for our tastebuds & memories!!! The food was decadent & delicious. The service was impeccable. I could not fault this restaurant. Martin Picard the chef/owner was so kind to take a photo with us & was very welcoming into his culinary world. Nicholas our server was so knowledgeable & attentive. 5 stars across the board!!!
Excellence in every possible sense of the word. The food is absolutely stunning, innovative, conceptually exciting & flawlessly executed. A real masterclass in food as art. With the minutiae of each dish treated with passion & care, the food highlights the energy & ambition of a fearless & accomplished chef. Nothing safe about it, surprises in every bite. An absolute treat. This is fine dining done with style, sophistication & a sprinkling of whimsy. I cannot recommend it highly enough for a special & unforgettable evening.

What a great meal. As a chef from the USA it was great to experience true hospitality. The visit from the chef showed what a passion he has for his business & the recognition that I would need a better knife for the duck in the can was great. Starters were incredibly flavorful the poultry dish however stole the show along with the nigiri Foie. We enjoyed 5 different wines & we will hopefully return to Montreal to enjoy again.

We sat at the bar & had a view into the kitchen. It was amazing to watch the chef & others at work, & the chef very kindly took the time to chat to us. The waiting staff were excellent, & the food- well, I don't have the words to fully express how wonderful it was. The foie gras starters in particular stand out. I would highly recommend a visit, make sure you get a place at the bar!

I have been eating at your restaurant for close to 20 years, whenever I visit Montreal. I love sitting at the bar for a great experience watching the chefs or bartender work. Service is always friendly & excellent, even though my French isn't good. Everyone will speak English to me, which is appreciated. I was even in a bind because of internet issues & your manager shared a wifi code to help me out.
Food quality is always outstanding. I always get the Poutine with Foie Gras. This visit I also enjoyed the bison tartare, also delicious & flavorful!! I regularly recommend your restaurant to anyone coming to Montreal! I can wait for my next visit because no one makes poutine like yours!! 😋😋

Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par l'équipe en place dans une ambiance de fratrie. L'expérience gustative équivalait à un saut en parachute pour les papilles (remarque de mon fils qui y était pour son 15 ème anniversaire). Merci au chef pour sa générosité & son partage. Merci au cuisinier qui a répondu à toutes les questions posées durand la soirée. Une tradition vient de naître.

Overall everything was "AMAZING". My wife, a friend & I came here & had an "AMAZING" time. I wanted to try everything on the menu but alas had to settle for just a few things. It just means that I NEED to come back (being from Alberta, we don't get to Montreal too often). Our friend was impressed by the presentation & pouring the sauces for the Plogue A Champlain. I had the Pork Shank & it was delicious & filling. Originally I was thinking about ordering the "Duck in a Can" but when I overheard the customer at the next table who had the "Pork Shank" tell his waiter "I surrender", I decided to take up the challenge. The ambiance is a bit noisy but was expected.
All the servers were great however my wife was somewhat disappointed as we were not told the nightly specials which was "Sheppard's pie" (it was at another table) but overall her choice turned out great. Kudos to the chefs, servers & all the staff who make this place AMAZING. I look forward to coming back the next time I get to Montreal & will recommend to all our friends.

J'ai été impressionnée par la qualité du service & la carte des vins. Les plats étaient délicieux mais ils manquaient cruellement de légumes. Un plat peu être gourmant & riche mais comporter des légumes pour que l'assiette soit plus équilibrée. Si un chef de l'émission Chef de bois présentait un plat dénué de légumes à Martin Picard, je suis convaincue qu'il lui ferait remarquer que son assiette n'est pas bien balancée. Je ne comprends donc pas qu'il offre cela à ses clients...Je ne recommanderai pas le restaurant à mes amis à cause de cette raison. Mais je sais que vous avez tous les clients qu'il vous faut alors je ne m'inquiète pas pour vous! Bonne continuité!

Une première pour nous, mais à refaire très bientôt. Nous étions assis au bar & nous avons adoré discuté avec les chefs qui sont très sympathiques. Ambiance chaleureuse & personnel vraiment sympathique. Nous allons surveiller votre menu d'automne. Merci pour ce beau moment 😍

We were sat in the narrow passage by the kitchen so it was very loud & people were rushing by a lot, that's why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars for the ambiance. We also had a kid next to us that was misbehaving a bit which was unexpected for an upmarket restaurant. But as I was getting a little frustrated, the staff gave the boy extra attention & the chef came & gave him his apron & had a photo with him. Their kindness was really appreciated from the solo parent, & seeing their kindness made us enjoy the experience even more. The staff were exceptional, absolutely faultless. But that heavy, rich food & just one toilet off the bar gives me anxiety!
Definitely a memorable meal! Thank you!

Lively atmosphere & delicious food. Staff was helpful & attentive. If you want a more quiet dinner, go early, by 10pm the place is hopping. If you want more of a show, sit at the bar & watch the chefs create the amazing food!
