Maybe very slightly disappointed that the menu is so short now, but everything we had was excellent. & one of the specials, the ham hock, was simply superb. No complaints.
It s more than a platter & a drink!! It was an entire experience... this is my coup de coeur au Quebec!
Merci pour la belle équipe!
Overall, it was an enjoyable evening & given the price, it will remain a rare experience for us. The food was very good but in some cases unnecessarily fatty. As well, the portions weren't quite as large as we were told, which turned out to be a good thing, given the richness of the dishes.
One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Fine dinning that is done in a fun & not pretentious atmosphere. Service was top notch.
La soupe à l'oignon & la terrine de foie gras en valaient le déplacement !
The reservation was for the dining room & we were placed at the bar, in the middle of a staff party. Therefore, we are disappointed with the experience even if the food was great. We will not reserve again.
We had a wonderful time! Everything was amazing & the kitchen delighted us with a gift as our mains were perhaps a little behind schedule. Delightful & unexpected! Your lovely waiter Fred was also extremely kind & called us a taxi as my friend perhaps enjoyed her wine a little too much! A special thank you to Fred for helping us out 🙏🏻
Really cool place, we expanded our reservation & ended up seated at the bar & ate more or less family style which was great & the atmosphere around the business of the bar added to the experience.
If only I could leave 6 stars... holy cow (or pig I guess) this place is freaking incredible. They lived up to the hype & then some! We tried a lot of the menu, not a single bad dish was brought to the table.
The scallops were great, the oysters with quail eggs were insane, the bone marrow with caviar & crusty bread was top notch. The foie gras nigiri was one of the best bites of anything I've ever experienced. Sea urchin pasta was awesome too. The foie gras poutine was super rich & decadent. The "Duck In A Can" is not to be missed, the act is hilarious & the food that comes out of it is unbelievable.
Service was impeccable, we rotated through a few different servers & they were all on top of their game. One of the best culinary experiences I've ever had!!
My partner & I came all the way from Toronto to dine at Au Pied & celebrate my 40th birthday. We couldnt have asked for a more exceptional experience & a perfect evening!! Quite simply one of the greatest meals I have ever enjoyed & quite honestly my now favorite Canadian restaurant. Merci!!!
Food is always perfect. They haven't lost their attention to detail since their first opened. The classics (like foie gras poutine) are still on the menu & examples of pure perfection. Service is first class. Prices are fair given the ingredients (ie. foie gras in almost everything). Quebec beers on tap, plenty of wine-by-the-glass options, as well as a very extensive wine list (by the bottle). Meals are expectedly rich, so order accordingly. It's worth saving room for dessert (pouding chomeur is highly recommended). The vibe in the restaurant is buzzing but still easy to have a conversation. Consider eating at the bar to be in the centre of the excitement & view on the kitchen.
One of the most enjoyable evenings ever - great food, wonderful service, a festive & welcoming & gracious atmosphere. Could not have been better!!!!!
Glad I went ... Glad I tried. Enjoyable but not again only because of cost vs quality. IMOView more
The best dining experience I have had since I left London (UK). The service was as amazing as the food.View more
Absolutely incredible, not only the best food we have had in Montreal but some of the best food in North America! We were beyond thrilled with the service, food, beverages & our experience as a whole! We will certainly be returning next time we visit Montreal! Bravo!
One of the best dining experiences ever! Friendly, kind staff. We sat at the bar & enjoyed watching the show in the kitchen. The cocktails & food were amazing. Did not disappoint! Such a great evening.View more
