The potatoes in this dish were also not cooked (I'm not being picky here, they were crunchy & inedible). - the mapo tofu udon was ok but not great. - the black pudding was one of the best bites of food we've ever tried! I don't like writing negative reviews, especially when care is clearly put into the food, but our dinner was very expensive & the quality unfortunately didn't match the price or reputation.View more

Hi- the service was a bit slow. It took almost three hours to eat dinner. A little long for a weeknight. My pork chop was overcooked. The drinks were good.

As always, Au Pied de Cochon did not disappoint. The food was exceptional, the service was impeccable, the wine list deep & inviting. The oysters with the marinated egg yolk were exquisite, the bone marrow to die for, the duck on a can delightful, the bouvin delicious. If you want to have a great dining experience Montreal style, this is the place to go to. You will not be disappointed!
Nous avons passé une très belle soirée .L'accueil chaleureux & le service a la table fut parfait. Tout le staff présent était de bon humeur & ça cré une très bonne ambiance. Pour la nourriture, nous avons bien mangé sans plus. Nos attentes étaient peut être trop élevées. Je ne pense pas retourner car pour le prix des plats je m'attendais à plus de WOW!
Excellent service, ça grouille pour sortir tout dans un très bon rythme. Conseils judicieux de la part d'Antoine. Ils font vraiment une belle équipe à voir aller, les plats sont variés & leur qualité dépasse les attentes. Nous y retournons pour déguster d'autres plats! Merci pour la belle & bonne expérience!

This is some of the best food & drink I have had in my life.
Everyone was having fun, & the staff are as responsible for that as the food.
The food is always amazing, but I wish I could give more stars for the service & ambiance. While it's always lovely there, we seemed to get lucky (oh, & a special thanks to the hostess for getting us seated at the bar). Our waiter was exceptionally good. My friend had never been there, & I'm grateful that he so effortlessly made her feel comfortable. We're going to try making the dessert we had, using the recipe from their cookbook.
