Review Summary

Allô mon Coco receives a mix of praise and critique across reviews, with many diners calling the food excellent and a standout breakfast or brunch option, especially items like egg dishes, chicken and waffles, and comforting plates, while others find some dishes too salty or the seasoning heavy and note that prices feel high for the quality. Service is described as friendly and attentive when staff are available, but several comments point to slower or inconsistent service on busy weekends and instances of a single server handling a large room, which can affect coffee and refill timing. Cleanliness is a recurring issue in a subset of visits, including concerns about bathroom cleanliness, dirty floors or surfaces, and the dining room during peak times, though other visits praise a bright, welcoming atmosphere and family friendly vibes. Beverage quality ranges from solid to good but not exceptional, with complaints about slow coffee or long waits for smoothies or refills, while some appreciate the option to customize sides like crushed potatoes. Overall Allô mon Coco is viewed as a promising spot with delicious food and potential for a great experience when staffing and cleanliness align with expectations.

My son (6 yo) dreams about this mini poutine from allo mon coco & talks about it all the time. We go there frequently, but unfortunately this time we did not feel very good about our experience.
Something was off about this poutine this morning (he received it first, before all of us, within like 5 minutes after order), my son ate couple of potatoes only (with the sauce) & asked me to run with him to the bathroom to puke (a first for him really.) my GF decided to exhange plate with him & she ate the poutine where she found something was off & tasted funny, like a taste of curdled milk or cheese (probably the sauce). We informed the waitress (she was kind), & left with the bowl (2/3 full). She told us they verified & the cheese & sauce were good in the kitchen. She offered some straight potatoes or a small crepe for replacement, but my son had just puked.... So he said no. She came back after to tell us the owner told them they changed the brand of cheese, so maybe we didn't like it (my son didn't eat the cheese...). & they made us pay for the bowl they had left with. With all this story, my dish was cold & we had to leave before everyone had finish...
I had several good experience there, don't get me wrong, but this situation really got us in a weird disappointment & will make us consider other restaurants the next time... (Yea all this just for a kid's 10$ plate...).
I would suggest the owner to not charge a plate to the client, when you leave with it in the middle of a meal.

Reply to latest customer review (Wacef Chowdhury): As the waitress serving the customers, I would like to respectfully clarify what happened. When taking the customers order, they asked me if I could suggest something to eat that was good. I suggested a few items & one of them being a grilled cheese. I had suggested the portobello mushroom grilled cheese but as they looked on the menu, they decided that they wanted the scrambled egg grilled cheese instead which indeed included bacon inside. I told them that it was a good choice & i placed the order. Unfortunately, at no point was there any mention of any dietary restrictions. When the grilled cheese arrived, they saw the bacon & advised they could not eat it. As we always do if something like this happens, we kindly asked the customer if it is OK if we take the bacon out as to not waste any food because it happens that some of our customers just dont like the taste but in this case, they mentioned it was for religious purposes & that it could not be the same sandwich & asked for a new one to be made. We always try to accommodate our customers the best we could & we always assume our mistakes. That being said, as it was the mistake of the customer, my manager did ask them to pay half the price of the sandwich & absorbed some of the loss himself. I think its important for me to clarify that my boss never asked me to pay for the food. I took it upon myself because as the customer mentioned to me, we are all human & make mistakes. This is very true & i agreed with that & the customers were very nice to me. But at the end of the day somebody has to pay for the mistakes & it is not fair for the restaurant to always absorb the costs of customer mistakes. It was just an unfortunate event/mistake.This is why I decided to buy it & enjoy it later.
