Overall, reviews of Alessa Trattoria highlight authentic Italian cooking with fresh, house-made sauces and a wide menu of pastas, pizzas, antipasti, and desserts that many guests describe as flavorful and well prepared, with several calling the experience the best Italian meal in the area and noting the wine and cocktail selections as a plus; the atmosphere is repeatedly praised as warm, chic, and lively, with some guests enjoying the terrace while others note that the space can be noisy and tables feel crowded; service is often described as attentive, friendly, and professional, though a few visits mention occasional missteps or moments of brusqueness and one or two concerns about water service or temperature; value is generally considered good for the quality, though a handful of reviews feel portions or prices can be high, and a couple of comments emphasize the importance of reservations and variability in portion size; despite occasional critiques, the consensus is that Alessa Trattoria offers a memorable, dependable Italian dining experience that brings locals and visitors back for repeat visits.
Party of 4, had Arancini & Stella pizza as anti pasti & a plate of pasta each for main.
It was ok
All of it
Good but nothing special
Expensive for the quality
The kind of thing we can easily do at home for a fraction of the price
There should be a better menu on beers, with & without alcohol, we're in Quebec in the 2020s, it's not choice that's lacking.
Not enclined to return, unless it's for their pizza
We had a tomato salad with boccacini & then a pizza…all very good! We had the tiramisu for dessert, also very good. I ordered a Baileys, yes one ounce. It came in an old fashioned glass & it looked like there was nothing there. I complained to the server & she was so adamant . I know it was one ounce but served in the wrong glass made it look ridiculous. I asked for ice before & it could have looked so much more enticing in a smaller more appropriate glass size with the ice in it. Basically, the server was raising her voice at me….at the end of the meal I apologized & she would have none of it. I walked out,,,will never go back again.

Visited Alessea Trattoria with my family & really enjoyed the variety of Italian dishes on the menu. We ordered pizzas & shared an entrée of deli meats-both were fresh & flavorful. The kids were thrilled with their chocolate ice cream for dessert, while my husband had the mini cannolis & I had the affogato, which was a nice finish to our meal.
Unfortunately, the service wasn't that great. While most of the staff seemed cheerful & upbeat, our server, Liette, was very cold & didn't smile once throughout the meal. For a family-oriented Italian restaurant, we were expecting a warmer, more welcoming atmosphere.
