We loved our meal at 9 Tail Fox! The food was flavorful & beautifully presented, with clear attention to detail. We tried the seasonal asparagus, oyster mushroom tempura, duck confit, steak & fries, & matcha yuzu cheesecake-all were fantastic.
The tapas-style, Korean-Western fusion dishes felt fresh & well-balanced. A great spot for a unique & satisfying dining experience in Montreal!View more
Blown away by the delicious & innovative take on Korean cuisine- everything was good, & the fried jumbo oysters were insane. Service & ambience was top. Perfect for group events, we were so well taken care of. Will definitely be coming back!View more
This restaurant was amazing!!! Every single dish we tried was delicious, though the group's favourites were the dumplings, shrimp boa buns, gnocchi, oysters & steak frites. The service was outstanding - we would definitely go back!View more
Fresh clean bright flavors. The oysters (raw or fried) are amazing. The crudo is so perfect. The team cares about what they do & it shows. One of the best places I've ever eaten in MTL.View more
We were charged a dish extra & a glass of wine we hadnt ordered. They gave us a bit of soju to make up for it but they were clearly understaffed with 2 waiters & the 2 chefs for the whole packed restaurant on a Saturday night. Waiters were good & did their best tho. The chefs are really good & some of the dishes are exquisite (gnocchis, fried oyster), others are more just deep fried with no presentation like the pleurotes. Overall bill was 140$ for a bottle of wine & 4 dishes which is more pricey than other similar restaurants. Not bad but bit great either. Appreciated it but will not return.View more
My favourite asian fusion restaurant. I love how they change the menu seasonally while keeping the classics. The duck confit risotto is to die for, the raw oysters & the fried ones are fantastic well. Only downside is maybe the dessert, would love to see a change in the dessert menu. Keep up the good work! We love bringing our friends & family hereView more
My friend & I loved every morsel, from the baked oyster to the sticky bun to the fried chicken. Really yummy! What a pleasant surprise. Definitely will recommend to friends :)View more
Great Oysters , octopus , dumplings ! Service great too Nice spot . Will be backView more
We came here for dinner & ordered four dishes (one appetizer for $12, one dish for $17, one for $21, & the last for $28) along with a beer. We enjoyed the fried oyster mushroom, & the crudo was nice too. However, the octopus, despite being the most expensive dish, could have been better-it was missing some flavor. As soon as we sat down, our waitress strongly suggested that we order at least 6-8 dishes for three people (including one young child) since the dishes are meant to be shared. As I mentioned, we didn't order all the dishes within the $12-$14 range, but the waitress gave us a look with our order. I don't think it's good service to make customers feel uncomfortable like that. We don't need this treatment & will not come back.View more
I had such a good dine-in experience at 9 Tail Fox. They are almost like a French cuisine with Korean taste influenced. Galbi & Octopus was really good. Oyster was so fresh too.View more
Oysters, dumplings, Bao buns, crudo were all delicious. Service was friendly & attentive. The mad tea party shooters were perfect.View more

The waitress was very insightful & kind. We came to eat before the rush & we were hesitating between 2 cocktails. She gave us 2 small samples so we could choose which one to order. We ordered oysters, crudo, lamb meatballs, duck confit & jjamppong paella... & wow. We were in awe after each dish. Especially the paella.. the harmony of spicy & buttery goodness with seafood.. 20/10View more
Amazing little discovery! Very very tasty but a bit too salty! We almost ordered everything :) Personally recommend the dumplings & oysters! Very very very good! Other dishes are good as well. Dinning room very cozy Service was amazingView more
Everything was absolutely perfect. We tried at least 7 of the dishes & all of them were so good. The LA Galbi, the octopus, the crudo, the oysters, the tartare, the dumplings & the Menbosha is what we took. We sat at the bar which is right where you can see the cooks do their magic. The service was impeccable! They took attention to detail, & knew their menu throughout. They described each plate & gave us excellent recommendations. Im very much excited to go back to try the other dishes. One of my new favorite spots!View more
The atmosphere is calm & warm, allowing you to connect with company. Perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic date. Food is more tapas style that pair well with alcohol. Korean flavours & spices are incorporated into the food in a very innovative way. I would recommend taking the oysters, beef tartare & burrata cheese.View more
The oysters are so good!!! I've been 3 times & I like seeing what seasonal changes they've made to the menu each time. Definitely recommend!View more
Omg. A real gem. Tiny but the atmosphere very nice. Great service, the waitress was very kind & also knew what wine goes with what. The food, korean fushion I would say. Loved it very much. My friend & I had their signature dumplings oyster mushroom tempura kimchi fried rice yuringi (fried chicken asian chimichurri) duck confit beef tartare (tastes like korean bulgogi) Definitely have to go back & try other dishes!View more

Cute new place in Saint Henri. While the waiter made a mistake in our order we were offered a drink on the house. all the dishes were good & nice portion to share. The oysters were very good & well seasoned. The calamari with sweet potato soup & the dumplings were my favourites !View more
We had a very good time. Very nice ambiance. We liked the open kitchen. Staff was friendly & efficient. Menu is interesting & some items were very good (oysters, dumplings, chicken, soup of the calamari), but our order of octopus was dry & very small, so quite disappointing given the price (we've seen another order of octopus come out after ours & it looked much much better) & the calamari were also dry (but the corn soup was excellent).
Nouveau coup de cœur. The moment we walked in I was greeted by my name. Natural wine list, a few open bottles to choose from. Oysters, dumplings, beef tartare were outstanding. Kimchi fried rice & fried chicken were also very satisfying. Food, atmosphere & service has me returning most definitely.View more
The food was absolutely fantastic. Flavorful bites. A must try in Montréal. I was really impressed with dinner. We started with their seasonal corn & cuttlefish soup. Then got oysters, duck hearts, steak & potatoes & crudo. Everything was super fresh & beautifully presented. Great staff & vibes.View more
Honestly I was like a child in a candy store here. We sat at the bar & got to watch them do their magic! This is a place where you take someone you want to spend quality time with & appreciate every bite. The food here is made with love, you can clearly see that when you watch them cook.
The owner & staff were so sweet & patient, they were all letting me take photos & ask questions.
The reviews that say it’s too expensive, it’s really not. Everything is home made with the best ingredients. It’s more than just food, It’s art. It’s an experience. If you’re starving grab a snack before going. You can’t go to a place like this dying of hunger or you’ll eat too fast & not appreciate the creativity & taste of the food.
The oysters were beyond delicious. Toppings were perfect. Big oysters too!
Scallop plate, beef tartare & shrimp toast were my favourite.
The kimchi tomato salad was the most refreshing salad I’ve ever tried.
I took photos of everything but didn’t get to try all those plates. I hope you get to try this place at least once!View more
Great night at 9 Tail, we were 4 people so shared 5 appetizers & 4 mains... & each one was better then the last. Great ambience, excellent service too, & a nice cocktail list & wine selection that went well with the food. The staff were knowledgeable & explained the dishes, ingredients & the chef came by to talk to us too. Standouts for me were the oyster mushroom & porcini dumplings starters, & then the steak & potato & chicken mains. Definitely going back so I can have some of the other dishes I missed (& to try the other cocktails too)!
