Fresh produce & so much more. Very good prices compared to grocery stores.

One of Montreal's most famous sites! This market has so many different vendors selling everything from fresh produce to maple syrup, candy, ice cream, meats, & more. There are also lots of food stands with a plethora of different things to try. This market has an indoor, covered section & outdoor vendors, but the weather wasn't the greatest when we visited, so no outdoor stalls were present. Definitely a fun place to check out!

Worth a visit! We went in the off season but it was still a great place to walk around & kill some time. Some cool local vendors & produce worth your consideration. Would be great when they have the outdoor portion open in Summer.

Spent a morning at Jean Talon Market & it was great. There are so many fun stands with unique produce, & it's a really enjoyable place to wander around. We also loved the food trucks that were set up - definitely recommend Mazorca for tacos & margaritas!

Strolling through Marché Jean-Talon, you can't help but feel the heartbeat of Montreal. 🍎✨
Whether you're hunting for the crispest Quebec apples, artisanal cheeses, or just a bouquet of fresh flowers to brighten your day, this place is a total feast for the senses. Nestled in the heart of Little Italy, it's not just a market-it's a community tradition that has been bringing the'country to the city' since 1933.
Did you know? 🏟? Long before it became one of North America's largest open-air markets, the grounds of Marché Jean-Talon were actually a lacrosse field for the'Shamrock Lacrosse Grounds' club! Today, instead of dodging lacrosse sticks, you're dodging the delicious aromas of fresh crêpes & roasting spices. 🌶?🥐
There's nothing like losing yourself in the colorful aisles & chatting with the local producers who make our food scene so special.
What's your go-to stall at Jean-Talon? Let me know in the comments! 👇

Really nice market with lots of fresh produce such as fruit, vegetables & seafood. Plenty of things to pick up as souvenirs which are actually produced in Canada.

Jean Talon Market is an absolute must-visit in Montréal. We enjoyed a warm, flaky quiche, a perfectly crisp baguette, rich artisanal cheese, & fresh homemade pasta with a flavorful sauce. The fruit stands were overflowing with vibrant, sweet, & fragrant produce. Every vendor we visited offered something special, & the overall atmosphere was lively, colorful, & welcoming. It's the kind of place where you can taste the best of Québec in one stop - we'll definitely be back.

Roxy's Focaccia was incredible. The gift shop has a great selection. So many other food & produce options. Florist was amazing too.

It's a pretty complete market. There's something for everyone. Ranging from what is offered as a produce market that brings fruits & vegetables from farmers around Quebec, to restaurants offering from crepes to seafood.

Vibrant market, full of fresh produce from small farmers, & local food specialties. I tried the legendary Poutine at a small stall, & loved it!
Definitely recommend visiting the Jean Talon Market if you're in the area

Jean-Talon Market is a vibrant, open-air market in Montreal's Little Italy, famed for its abundant fresh produce, local cheeses, & specialty foods. The atmosphere is lively & welcoming, with a mix of locals & tourists enjoying diverse food stands, bakeries, & prepared meals. Prices are generally reasonable, & many vendors offer free samples, making it a favorite for food lovers & families. I explorwd the entire Market in 15 minutes. Parking is paid here.

This market is great - easy parking underground, less touristy than Atwater (which is also great, just different). The surrounding buildings also have wonderful bakeries & shops. We had two delectable arancini (vegetarian even,) & got an amazing pistachio cornetto. All the produce & plants you could want. We went on a Monday & it was not crowded, but it was active & lovely.
