Review Summary

Overall, the reviews paint 3 Pierres 1 Feu as part of a lively, colorful market experience with a vast array of fresh produce, seafood, cheeses, meats, flowers and locally made gifts, plus plenty of places to eat on site or take a break on a terrace. The atmosphere is described as warm, authentic and very Montreal, with friendly vendors, easy navigation and a rhythm that invites wandering, tasting and lingering. The market and its stalls are repeatedly praised for quality, seasonality and breadth of choices, from everyday groceries to special finds, while parking options and accessibility are noted as a plus. The restaurant earns kudos as a reliable stop for a meal after shopping, and the overall vibe encourages trying new flavors and picking up gift items. A few critics mention higher prices, a sense of gentrification and occasional quieter winter days, but the consensus remains that 3 Pierres 1 Feu is a must visit for food lovers seeking local, delicious fare.

Jean-Talon Market is a great place to visit in Montreal. There's a wide variety of unique, local products that really reflect the city's culture & flavors. The vendors are friendly & welcoming, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. It's a lively, authentic spot that's definitely worth exploring.

Worth a visit! We went in the off season but it was still a great place to walk around & kill some time. Some cool local vendors & produce worth your consideration. Would be great when they have the outdoor portion open in Summer.

Lovely market, lots of fresh food options. While larger than atwater, I think I actually prefer that one more than here. Something about the vibe at jean talon just felt slightly more touristy, like how there was a mile long maple syrup boutique, or a trendy gluten free crepe place . No shade to y'all, you are creating & contributing towards a local amazing spot which is awesome. I'm never gonna dislike any sort of farmers market, & overall I enjoy my time here

Sgt terbatas pilihan makanannya, so far ini market yg sgt kecil dan pilihan yg sgt terbatas...MGKN lbh cocok utk org local, utk belanja keperluan sehari hari yg umum2 aja....

Strolling through Marché Jean-Talon, you can't help but feel the heartbeat of Montreal. 🍎✨
Whether you're hunting for the crispest Quebec apples, artisanal cheeses, or just a bouquet of fresh flowers to brighten your day, this place is a total feast for the senses. Nestled in the heart of Little Italy, it's not just a market-it's a community tradition that has been bringing the'country to the city' since 1933.
Did you know? 🏟? Long before it became one of North America's largest open-air markets, the grounds of Marché Jean-Talon were actually a lacrosse field for the'Shamrock Lacrosse Grounds' club! Today, instead of dodging lacrosse sticks, you're dodging the delicious aromas of fresh crêpes & roasting spices. 🌶?🥐
There's nothing like losing yourself in the colorful aisles & chatting with the local producers who make our food scene so special.
What's your go-to stall at Jean-Talon? Let me know in the comments! 👇

Quite expensive but I guess that's the price of supporting local. Kind staff & a couple free tastes that are cool

The market to visit in Montreal. Located in an old neighborhood, it features local produce & specialty foods. Parking is available underground.

One of the best markets in Montreal! 🥕🍓 You can always find fresh fruits, vegetables, local products, & international foods. The atmosphere is lively, the vendors are friendly, & prices are usually fair compared to supermarkets. It's a great place to walk around, shop, & even grab a bite to eat. Highly recommend visiting, especially in summer when everything is more colorful & full of energy! 🌞

Vibrant market, full of fresh produce from small farmers, & local food specialties. I tried the legendary Poutine at a small stall, & loved it!
Definitely recommend visiting the Jean Talon Market if you're in the area

Jean-Talon Market is a vibrant, open-air market in Montreal's Little Italy, famed for its abundant fresh produce, local cheeses, & specialty foods. The atmosphere is lively & welcoming, with a mix of locals & tourists enjoying diverse food stands, bakeries, & prepared meals. Prices are generally reasonable, & many vendors offer free samples, making it a favorite for food lovers & families. I explorwd the entire Market in 15 minutes. Parking is paid here.

My top choice to bring visitors to Montreal. Great variety of local produce & artisan stores.

From $5 treats to $1600 wagyu beef. Wonderful way to spend half a day with family
