Good ramen, but unless you take all the topping that adds to the base price you get broth, 2 slice of pork & some noodle. So to have a'real' ramen you probably have to pay 30$+tips+taxes. Which brings you close to 100$ for two ramens. You can pay 4$ for 2 slice of pork.
Overall good ramen but not worth the price sorry
I can see why this place gets busy....num num num yummy with that extra num num num. Ate at the chill ramen side, loved the sesame broth very unique. Portion of meat generous.... loved that they have 3 broth options that dont have pork. Num num num chicken ramen : )

I've been to several ramen restaurants &, although there is some pretty stiff competition, Yokato Yokabai still stands as the best place to get ramen in Montreal. They have not only the best ramen but also the best entrées & sides & they have great cocktails as well (Shiso Sour being my favourite). They also have, by far, the best pork & rice bowl (chashu don) out of all the ramen places. You could just order tapas & still come out of it with a great experience. The menu is that good. This is also the place where I had plum wine for the first time & I've been in love ever since. I've lost count of the amount of times me & my best friend have been here. Yokato Yakabai is, quite literally, the best.
Tiny place, big taste. I don't think I've ever had such rich broth in ramen before-absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, & the pork was tender. This is one of the best ramen spots I've tried in Montreal. The place is tiny, though, so be prepared to squeeze into your seat!

Excellent!! Amazing taste (pork & chicken broth). Superb bite on the homemade noodles! One of the best Ramen shops I have ever been to - including the ones in Japan!
Really enjoyed the experience! The food was worth the wait, Saturday night is vey busy. We took the Kaarage (fried chicken) & the Chashu Don (Braised Pork rice) & Ramen soups that are personalized to your liking. Oh & do take the lemon ice cream. Service was quick & courteous. It felt like we were transported in Japan, sitting at the bar, looking at the chefs making their magic!
YY has the best tonkatsu ramen in Montreal hands down! Their pork chashu is the right amount of tender, their pork broth is absolutely addicting & consistent, & their restaurant's atmosphere reminds me a lot of my travels to Tokyo. Whenever I miss authentic tonkatsu ramen, I know I can rely on YY. Keep it up, YY! 10/10
Stopped for a quick ramen with my son who lives in Montreal & loves this place - I can see why. The ramen broth was out of this world - flavourful, rich, indescribable! The noodles were perfect, the pork was perfect, everything was perfect, except, perhaps, the egg, which was kind of pungent. Did not spoil the dish, though. We also shared some crispy chicken "bites" - just as delicious as the ramen. Two ramen & the shared chicken was too much; we had to take a couple pieces of chicken home. All in all, I see why our so e loves this place, & if I lived in Montreal I'd soon become a regular. We walked by a couple times & there were lineups - obviously it's a popular spot.
The tonkatsu (pork broth) is to die for!! It has a beautiful miso-y flavour & manages to be savoury & rich without feeling too heavy. I can't speak for the other broths, but the pork will not disappoint.
Went there for dinner on a Tuesday night. It was fairly busy, but I was seated quickly. I had the Tonkotsu ramen, which was exquisitely rich, a little thick even. Compared to other Tonkotsu I've had before, this one is definitely more complex in flavor, & it really lingers on the palate. The noodles were great, but definitely not enough, I'm definitely ordering an extra serving next time, or some gyozas to go with the ramen. It did however come with two massive cuts of very flavorful pork shoulder to make up for it. Not a fan of the counter seat (the serving counter overhangs the table area so when you lean in, your head can bump the counter), will go to a table seat next time.
We took two ramen here to take away, one was with chicken, the other was with pork, both were good, but I can't say that this is the best Ramen I've tried. For me, kinton is the constant standard for ramen, I just need to know which chain to choose, hehe. I noticed the decor with one eye, a little dark, but in traditional colors, the price is too high friends, I can say that for sure, but thank you, it's ok

The ramen was very delicious & flavourful. I really enjoyed the fact that you can customize your salt preferences & toppings, such as green onions, pork belly or vegetables & adding seaweed & egg. The broth was very tasty & the noodles were fresh. I got the thin noodles, but they also offer thick ones. The atmosphere was very nice & the waiter was helpful. The wait time for the ramen was about 5-10 minutes. It's a great lunch spot, but they also have a dinner menu.
The Ramen (pork broth & thin noodles) was excellent! It was rich & creamy. Our server was helpful. You can actually see in the hall the noodles being made downstairs. I would highly recommend this place. I'd come back too. Just a note, this place is hidden in plain site. You'll walk right by it, not even realizing it. It doesn't look like a store front. The price was right for the quality & experience for two. Thank you!
I recently visited this ramen restaurant & was extremely impressed with both the food & service. I started off with the octopus balls, or T akoyaki, which were perfectly cooked & bursting with flavor. The tasty pork ramen that followed was also outstanding, with rich broth & tender slices of pork. To top off the meal, I enjoyed a refreshing white beer that I can't quite recall the name, I do remember how well it complimented the flavors of the meal. Speaking of the staff, they were incredibly friendly & accommodating throughout my visit. They made excellent recommendations, were attentive to my needs, & overall provided a top-notch dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend this ramen restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious & satisfying meal. The octopus balls, pork ramen, & accompanying beer were all highlights of my visit, & I will definitely be returning soon.
