Review Summary

Yakitori Hibahihi is described as a warm, intimate spot with a beautiful, authentic Japanese vibe and a standout grill where every skewer is carefully seasoned and cooked to perfection, from pork belly and chicken heart to duck dishes and a range of vegetables, complemented by a strong sake and wine list and compelling sashimi options. Reviews praise attentive, friendly service and crisp, clean decor, with guests noting thoughtful touches like hot towels on arrival and menu guidance that helps pace the meal. While many experiences feel like a memorable, high quality night out, a few visits mention high prices for relatively small portions or occasional service hiccups and some dishes that miss the mark; still, the consensus leans toward a gem worth returning to for the ambience, distinctive drinks, and especially the yakitori, with several readers already planning their next visit.

We chose the restaurant based on reviews. Yet the food was disappointing: Karaage had no crunch & was very oily, the shio ramen had no flavor (which is a feat) but lots of oil, the chicken wings were'soft baked' I guess & very oily. I ate at numerous yakitori around Japan, I don't know if there was an issue tonight, but the food we had had nothing to do with yakitori.
Service was okay. A bit too present (waitress extending her hand from behind me & right besides my face to feel my can on the table) or expeditious at times.
The place is beautifully decorated & the pictures don't do justice to the design work they put in. So I can't recommend for anything else but (expensive) vibes.

You can see everything was thoughtful, the decor, the hot towel before eating, the music, the food was presented so well. Each dish they introduce it with passion to let us know how it works. Wow, I'll definitely come back to try more food with friend's & family

This place is a gem! From the minute you walk in you are met with smiles & warmth & a beautiful decor. The sake & wine list is great! Multiple portion options available. The menu is exactly what you want from a yakitori restaurant with cold & hot sides & even the chef's trademark sashimi bowls & ramen!
Every skewer we tasted was perfection & the Maguro dish is out of this world!!! Chutoro available too is heaven. Desserts are light & delicious to end the meal!! You leave already planning & craving your next meal there! Long live Hibahihi & chef Hiroshi!!!!! Thank you team!

Came here with my Friend a few nights ago & had an absolute blast!

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the beautiful decor, the place is just has an amazing layout & Japanese vibe that really stands out & thrives. Makes for such a chill & relaxing atmosphere

When you are seated & your jackets are taken by the staff you are provided a hot towel to clean your paws before eating, it's a little thing but it's such a good setup before eating.

We should have to use a hot towel before doing everything, before we start work, go to the gym, drive a car even before GSP goes into the octagon he should have to use a hot towel.

The food was amazing & I'm going to let the pictures do the talking for me, everything had amazing taste & the liver was the best I've ever had in the city. (Toronto included)

I was blown away buy this place & didn't expect to have had such a great filling meal that would leave me thinking about it for days after.

Overall:
-The price was right
-Bathrooms were clean
-staff was friendly
-Dining area was clean & comfortable (seats too)
-music & vibes were spot on

10/10 - would highly recommend coming back with friends & family.
