Just an easy lunch with friends. We were three people & it was our first visit to this restaurant but certainly not our last. A wonderful menu accommodating each of us, a meat lover, a vegetarian & a foodie. We really enjoyed our plates. A delicious vegetarian meal size minestrone soup served with the most delicious thin, toasted & heavily buttered sourdough bread. Also a thick beef sandwich with bbq mayo, onions caramélisée also in their wonderful sourdough bread, accompanied by a small serving of the daily soup - a butternut squash & apple purée. Y.U.M. The ambiance is super casual with an equestrian motif throughout, a roaring fireplace just far enough from the tables & the tables separated enough for privacy. The wait staff yesterday, a Thursday lunch, was the owner himself, a young guy, very personable & attentive. Can't wait to go experience their breakfasts & dinners!View more

We had breakfast at the White Horse twice while visiting from Ottawa with my parents, & we left thoroughly satisfied both times. Everything we ate (the egg/BLT breakfast sandwich, the waffles, & the gravlax bagel) was fantastic. We also liked that the menu includes some simpler options like a bagel with cream cheese & toast with jam--great options for my mom, who doesn't have a huge appetite. Boosting this café's appeal is the lovely equestrian-themed decor (which includes a wood-burning fireplace) & the warm, friendly service. This was our first time in beautiful Magog, but we'll be back & we'll be eating at The White Horse again!View more

Le menu de ce restaurant semblait très intéressant mais j'ai été un peu déçue des plats choisis. Un plat de sandwich inclus un potage. Les portions sont assez petites mais suffisantes pour ne pas se sentir plein après le repas. Les tranches de pains utilisés sont trop minces, j'ai dû terminer de manger mon sandwich avec un couteau & une fourchette. Le menu inspire une nourriture bistronomique mais le résultat n'est pas au rendez-vous. Ça demeure un restaurant honnête si vous n'avez pas d'attente. À noter qu'il y a une odeur de chevaux dans le restaurant, attention aux personnes allergiques. Je n'y retournerai pas.View more

Très beau resto, atmosphère sympathique, choix du menu restreint. Gros bémol, le serveur nous mentionne que le sandwich est servi avec une soupe ou si l'on préfère avec une salade verte . Nous ne voulions pas de soupe, alors nous avons choisi la soupe. Surprise lorsque nous recevons la facture il y a un supplément de $5 chaque pour cette très petite salade verte. Trop cher & surtout mal informé .

Nous étions seulement 4 dans le restaurant, il a fallu 30 min. + pour un sandwich & deux soupe . Manque de choix au Menu , mais la nourriture était bonne . Il a grande place à l'amélioration .View more
