Well worth the visit for supper. This was our first time at White Horse Café Bistro. The food was on point! The duck rillette was scrumptious, the scallops cooked to perfection, & the fish just melted in our mouths. We had a variation on a Mississippi mud pie for dessert (with ice cream) & did not regret it! Every dish was a banger. Thanks to the chef & the amazing staff for a great meal & experience. Great place if you are looking for more refined cooking. Not cheap, but high quality of ingredients & interesting tastes, not your average bistro food that is so prevalent in other restaurants. Since it is not convenience food that just needs heating the preparation needs a bit longer, don't expect fast food. Certainly an asset to the Magog dining scene!View more

We enjoyed an excellent lunch here recently. The pork & tofu sandwiches were both delicious, as was the included leek soup. The setting is lovely, & our server Marc Anthony (the owner) was gracious & friendly. He gave us some great advice on travel to Scotland! We were only in Magog a few days but wished it were longer, as we loved the town & this restaurant.View more

We had breakfast at the White Horse twice while visiting from Ottawa with my parents, & we left thoroughly satisfied both times. Everything we ate (the egg/BLT breakfast sandwich, the waffles, & the gravlax bagel) was fantastic. We also liked that the menu includes some simpler options like a bagel with cream cheese & toast with jam--great options for my mom, who doesn't have a huge appetite. Boosting this café's appeal is the lovely equestrian-themed decor (which includes a wood-burning fireplace) & the warm, friendly service. This was our first time in beautiful Magog, but we'll be back & we'll be eating at The White Horse again!View more
