I ordered a pizza from Welldun pizzaria in Verdun & I was very disappointed. The pizza was average at best. But the worst part was the waiting time. I've called on a Friday night around 5pm & I've been told to come & pick up my order at 6:15pm. I understand it was busy but when I came to pick up my order at 6:15, the manager told me that they're runnning late so it would be another 10min. I waited another 45min. To me it's unacceptable to order an hour in advance & have to wait another hour just for one pizza. We ordered the Detroit Vodka bacon, it wasn't the worst but wasn't the best pizza I've had. Don't believe the hype. The problem with that kind of restaurant is that there's a big buzz in the beginning so they can't withstand the demand. For the price & the wait I'll try another pizzaria on Wellington street, there's plenty of them.
I visited Welldun with some friends while doing a pizza run in MTL. We we're pretty astonished as to how good every single slice we had was. Needless to say, Welldun outscored the other 5 stops, & we went to the top slices of the city. 4 different crusts are offered. The sauce, the cheese, the toppings, immaculate. If Verdun is far from you, it's worth the detour.
Superb Detroit (Sicilian) style, classic round Grandama as well as more traditional varieties of sliced pizzas. Priced from about $6 & up. Top quality ingredients, best pizza by the slice anywhere in Verdun.

Yes! A new(ish) restaurant on Wellington that does its own original thing, & not a terrible chain restaurant like KFC! At this point, it's a duty to spread the word about good places like these, so that Verdun isn't taken over by big corporations. Duty aside, this place is really damn good anyway. I was a mix of concerned & curious before their opening about what they could possibly do to stand out in a scene that already isn't lacking in excellent pizza. I have to admit I did not expect Detroit-style pizza, & that I'm very surprised & pleased by that answer to my questioning! & what amazing pizza it is too. A ton of delicious toppings (best bacon I've ever had on pizza by far), fresh sauce that bursts with flavors in generous quantity, & since each pizza is cooked at a size of 6 servings, a dough always fresh enough so that the parts that should be soft aren't dry, & the parts that should be crunchy aren't soggy. Staff is friendly & mindful of the cleanliness of the place. Price are more than reasonable (you can easily get a piece of pizza & a can of soda for around 10$ after taxes). Topping options are varied & creative, & 4 different styles of pizza are usually available (Brooklyn, Detroit, Sicilian & one they call Grand-mère), all delicious. Right by Métro De L'Église, so there really is no reason not to try it if you're in the area & are hungry for a bite. There's no way you'll regret it!
Best pizza in verdun hands down. Top 2 I’ve ever had in Montreal. The crunch on the crust is amazing the tomato sauce is too notch. The Detroit & New York styles are both amazing. Highly recommended, if you like pizza you can’t go wrong choosing this place.
As someone who has lived in VERDUN for 20 years, I've had my fair share of pizza from various places in the greater Verdun area. However, this particular pizza joint truly caught me by surprise & left me thoroughly impressed. It's safe to say that their pizzas are nothing short of amazing & offer a unique twist that sets them apart from the traditional Italian or American-style pizzas.
The standout feature of their pizza is the delightfully crispy & thin crust. Paired with the carefully selected cheese, it creates a mouthwatering combination that had me craving for more. I highly recommend their pizzas with a rating of A++++++. In fact, I'm eager to return & explore the rest of their menu, as I have no doubt that the other dishes will be equally exceptional.
In summary, this pizza place in VERDUN has redefined my pizza expectations, & I can't wait to savor their offerings again.
