Our recipes are inspired by the flavors of Vietnamese street food passed down from previous generations and discovered during our many travels. VUI stands out with its modern and bold approach. Come discover us in a warm, authentic, relaxed, and festive atmosphere that will transport you to the bustling streets of Vietnam.
Reviews consistently highlight Vui Cuisine Viet et Bar as a stylish, welcoming spot with fresh, flavorful Vietnamese dishes and very generous portions, especially the pho, beef rib dishes, and crispy spring rolls, along with a strong drink program and appealing cocktails. The atmosphere is described as modern and visually impressive, with decorative touches that wow first-time visitors, though tables can be close and the space can get noisy on busy nights. Service is often praised for friendliness, attentiveness, and professional warmth, with many noting quick and efficient dining experiences, while a few visits report slow kitchen times, understaffing, or inconsistent pacing that affected timing between courses. Price is seen as reasonable for the quality and portions by many, though some mention higher prices and online ordering issues that led to food arriving cold or services delayed. The restaurant is frequently recommended as one of the best Vietnamese spots in the Montreal area, a place to go for celebrations or casual meals alike, and numerous guests say they plan to return to explore more dishes and cocktails.

I mean the soups were not comparable to a pho place (the first time was better but second time it taste more dilluted). The small appetizers was the highlight, small portions though. I put a service at 2 because i waited 1.5 hour for food & was about to leave, my wife was super angry. I get there are alot people coming in at the same time, but we really need better communication from the staff.
You are going to this resteraunt for the atmostphere, decoration & drinks.
Plats principaux : pho, boeuf AA luc lac, vermicelles porc crevettes rouleau impérial & vermicelles poulet crevettes rouleau impérial.

I asked vietnamese friend at work, polo, to recommend the best pho in montreal & this is the place he said without the slightest hesitation. He also highly recommended Columbia but that's for another conversation lol 😆 ...
Everything about this palace of deliciousness was awesome. From the bathroom design & immaculate cleanliness... a place this clean will not doubt have great food 😋 ...
I wasn't sure to get the one is all the meats plus a short rib OMG or the spicy one. I choose the steak specialty & asked for some samba olek on the side 😉 ... You can see by the photos this is an EXTRA ordinary soup. You must go try it & let me know when you do. We can compare superlatives about it's savouriness & velvety texture ... a must visit.

Un must!
This is an upper scale Vietnamese restaurant & it comes with the price tag. It is not like the ones you find in Chinatown. I've been there twice. The first time I had the Bun Bo Hue with the bone marrow. There is an extra of $12 for the bone marrow which I find is not worth it, but the soup was good. The quality of the ingredients is good & the size is good as well. However, the second time I went, I had the pork chops on rice & they were very thin with a lot of fat. The taste was good though.
There were so many things I wanted to try out but each item was quite expensive, around 20-30$. So, if possible, it would be nice to be in a large group & just order various plates to try out more items in their menu. The food itself was great. The flavours were on point & the toppings were a great addition in flavours. The soup was clear & flavourful which made the noodles taste great in return. I wasn't a big fan of their fried ice cream however. The crust was too thick & it was pretty basic in my opinion. The portion was acceptable. Considering that the Pho Vui was 28$ before tax & tips, the portion was decent but I could have definitely eaten more, especially for 28$ a bowl. The pho is served with a large beef rib though so I guess it's a reasonable price. I would still say it's a bit more on the expensive side though. The service was great as well. Even though the waiters seemed a bit shy, they were quite friendly, patient & professional.
Ordered the platter of a variety of meats with rice paper, pho, & bun bo hue. The soups & sauces are on the sweet side. The variety platter was the best. The bun bo hue was decent, but was just spicy pho & not bun bo hue.
