Nous avions choisi Vargas pour célébrer une belle soirée &, malheureusement, ce fut une grande déception. Les entrées (pieuvre & cocktail de crevettes) étaient très bonnes, mais nos deux faux-filets à 68 $ chacun sont arrivés complètement surcuits, gris à l'intérieur, alors que nous avions demandé une cuisson rosée. Les steaks ont été retournés. Les deux nouveaux étaient d'une coupe différente, beaucoup moins tendres, pratiquement sans saveur & loin de la qualité que l'on attend d'un rib eye. Notre serveur a été courtois & professionnel tout au long du repas, mais l'explication voulant que le restaurant n'ait plus accès à du boeuf américain de qualité. Avec une facture dépassant 300 $, nous nous attendions à une expérience digne de la réputation de l'établissement. Nous sommes repartis déçus & n'envisageons pas d'y retourner.

Slow service , server was not very knowledgeable. Steak was ok , sushi was ok . Would not go back . High price for what you get

While the steak was absolutely amazing, the whole experience was spoiled by our waiter who DEMANDED an exorbitant tip which was not deserved since he forgot some parts of our order...& went on raging that he would have to pay the restaurant out of his pocket for our service!??? How so? Tips should be deserved & restaurants SHOULD PAY THEIR WORKERS PROPERLY, NOT THE CUSTOMER! 75% of Montréal residents already complain about rude waiters! This is 2026, wake up! This completely ruined our 30th wedding anniversary & our son's graduation dinner...NO THANK YOU!!!!!

Overpriced overhyped.
They don't salt nothing, & they refuse to leave the salt on the table 😂
BYO-salt.

Octopus was fine nothing special which is disappointing.
Steak was mid but a party liked the filet mignon & mushrooms & potatoes (it's hard to mess up potatoes though)

Service was great! But it took forever to get our food.

Great steakhouse. The Caesar salad was crisp, with the perfect tang & just the right amount of Parmesan in the dressing. The calamari, foie gras, lamb shank, & beef tartare were all delicious. The others in my party ordered steaks & said they were cooked perfectly, accompanied by textbook-classic sauces.

Juste trop bon je recommande fortement le steak etait excellent avec le beurre au truffle butter excellent le dessert etait vraiment fou & les verres était à la perfection

Had the smoked old fashioned/ steak/ lobster mash/ shrimp cocktail/ sushi. Everything hit the spot 🎯

I'm a regular customer here & the steaks never disappoint. The rib cap is absolutely perfect; I always order it medium rare. The drinks honestly aren't great, so we usually just stick to water 😂 but the steak alone keeps us coming back. I just wish the steaks came with sides as well!

J'ai été avec mon fils & mon petit fils de 9 ans hier j'ai vraiment aimé le steak tomahawk qu'on a partagé était délicieux c'était la première fois que je mangeais ça & mon petit fils sushi très bon & le serveur était funny avec mon petit fils très bon service

Decent downtown steakhouse. Could use some additional side options. Our table probably would have ordered additional plates if offered. Fries were ok & presented in a little cup but nothing out of the ordinary. All the meats were cooked/seasoned to our liking. Staff was excellent. Kept our cocktails/wine flowing.
