Indeed a hidden gem!! My wife & I walked in with no reservations on a Friday night & we were treated like royalty. Prompt & polite service, excellent drinks, excellent food, excellent atmosphere, & fantastic location (right by central station). This time we came for the sushi but they have an assortment of dry aged steaks/cuts of meat that will definitely be a must try next time - imo reasonable prices for the experience. Give it a try, you won't regret it.
This is one of the best steakhouses I've ever tried. Everything was amazing. Benjamin was very helpful, & the service overall was excellent. The steak was perfectly cooked & the sushi was very fresh. The atmosphere was elegant & comfortable. Definitely coming back again.
If you had an option to only try one restaurant in Montreal, consider this on the top of the list!
Je me suis rendue dans votre établissement à l'occasion d'un anniversaire & j'ai demandé au serveur s'il existait un menu pour enfants. Celui-ci m'a confirmé que oui.
Cependant, lorsque les plats ont été servis, j'ai constaté que les portions étaient équivalentes à celles d'un adulte. Au moment de payer, j'ai été surprise de voir que chaque repas pour enfant était facturé 30 $, sans dessert ni breuvage.
J'ai alors redemandé des explications au serveur, qui m'a finalement indiqué qu'il n'existait pas de menu pour enfants, ce qui contredit clairement l'information qu'il m'avait donnée au départ.
Je tiens également à souligner que le serveur ne s'est pas excusé & a adopté une attitude que j'ai trouvée arrogante.
Cette expérience a été décevante & ne correspond pas au niveau de service attendu.
Delicious food & good service. I work nearby & I went to this place with some collegues for a business meeting. The staff greeted us & took care of all my business partners. We ordered a nice steak & had a good evening of business deals. The atmosphere is quiet & relaxed. Easy to have a conversation. The food was tasty & the service was friendly. Thank you for the hospitality.
Wonderful restaurant. Yannick & Talia are such lovely people & professionals & it felt more like a home meal with family. Recommend warmly to everybody.

Came here for a date night for the first time, & wow the meal was amazing. Started off with the small plate of sushi. 10/10 super fresh. I had the rib eye steak I believe & it was cooked to perfection. Ended our night with the strawberry cheesecake & let me tell you it wasn't your ordinary slice of cake. It was presented so beautifully I didn't even want to eat it lol (but I did) & it was delicious. 10/10 would recommend
Comme plusieurs autres couples avec qui ont a discuté, malgré qu'on a réservé UNE TABLE POUR 2 plusieurs semaines à l'avance. Arrivé sur place à 20:30 on nous a placé au bar. J'aurais compris si le restaurant était full. Mais plusieurs tables & banquette étaient disponible (environ une dizaine) & ceux tout le long de notre présence sur place jusqu'à notre départ vers 22:00. TRÈS DÉÇUE.
Mon mari à réservé depuis 1 mois une table pour 2 spécialement pour la St Valentin, en arrivant on nous met au bar lorsqu' on demande un accommodement aucun n'est offert. C'est quoi je dois réservé au mois de juin pour m'assurer d'avoir une table pour la St Valentin. Pendant la soirée plusieurs tables sont resté vacant & personne n'est venu nous la proposer. Mauvaise expérience c'est dommage.

Had a great experience at Vargas! It's a beautiful restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The drinks were good, & the tomahawk steak was also very good. Service was excellent. Yannick really created an amazing experience for us. Service 12/10.
Absolutely fantastic experience. The rib was tender & juicy, & the burger was one of the best I've had, well seasoned & satisfying. Great quality ingredients, excellent service, & a warm atmosphere. We'll definitely be coming back.

Dinner was exceptional. I got East meets West with Filet mignon & kamakazi sushi roll. Absolutely the best steak I've ever had. The bearanaise sauce was so good as well. Our server Yannick was so accommodating & answered all of our questions. Absolutely amazing quality & service.
La table d'hôte du midi est vraiment une aubaine. Avoir une salade & un prime rib pour 30$ est vraiment unique. La qualité de la nourriture est bonne, mais j'ai été un peu déçu du service. Le service était un peu froid & on ne m'a pas proposé de dessert à la fin du repas.
Dinner for 5. Service=good overall but waited quite a while for waiter/water. Also, food runners brought wrong dishes to wrong people twice. Waiter (Pascal) was friendly, fun & funny.
Food: Bread rolls were good but some were not that fresh. Grilled octopus app was good but not great & had a weird orange sauce. Definitely not worth $30. French onion soup was not hot & the cheese barely melted=someone took it out of the oven way too early. Sent it back & 2nd time around it was hot & melted & broth quite tasty. $12 grilled veggies that we chose as sides with steaks were a let down. Burger de Dave (topped with aged cheddar, maple-glazed bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles & chipotle aioli. Served with golden fries. ) was good but a bit messy because of the aioli, & the meat is not well seasoned. Filet mignon was very good, as was the Miso glazed salmon. Overall a good meal but not great bang for your buck at around $70 per person without booze. Keg offers better overall food & value.
