The breakfast here is far better than the hotel's, & we will come here every day during our stay. Also very child friendly.
Our server was absolutely fantastic. I wish I could remember his name, he was bright & cheerful.
The food was great. The all day breakfast was delicious, & I kept going in for bites on my daughters crepe. It was really good too.
The price is reasonable for downtown Montreal. Highly recommend.
Great hearty breakfast. I highly recommend Universel Dejuener. They catered to my gluten & dairy free food allergies. I had poached eggs, avocado on gluten free toast. A bowl of low sugar fruit too. We enjoyed Almond milk lattes.

Have already been twice & absolutely loved it. I got the Vegetarian Omelet I believe & was very satisfied. The portion was perfect & I loved the fruit on the side. The one thing I will say is that if you order a breakfast combo, it comes with quiet a lot of bread on the side even if French toast is your main. Overall great atmosphere with pretty porch seating as well. Will definitely be going again.
Worst burger ever. Asked for medium rare, was informed they only offer client requests on steaks, not burgers. Fries were horribly greasy. Waste of $. Maybe their breakfast is their gig. Music loud & not conducive to eating. This seems like a low end college joint.
Friendly place with service in both English & French. We enjoyed our breakfast. They were very flexible when we wanted to customise our order. We will visit if we ever visit the city again.
I enjoyed my breakfast at the Universel Déjeuners & Grillades. I had an omelette & it was very good. I entered hungry & left satisfied. Service was excellent too. Would recommend & I would come back next time I am in Montreal.
Loved everything about the place. The food was delicious. & nice modern fancy decor. I had a breakfast pizza. So different & tasty, sweet & salty with a hint of cinnamon. I ate it all! My boyfriend got the breakfast poutine which was also amazing although really heavy. The chai latte was also delicious. The only Negative point was that it was very loud & over crowded.
My family & I went to Universel for breakfast & absolutely loved it! There are a lot of choices on the menu - something for everyone. We ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice, bagel with cream cheese, fruit cup, eggs & sausage, & a croissant. The waitress was pleasant & attentive. Another waitress came over, smiled at my little girl (19 months), patted her head & told us she was beautiful. The food was all perfectly cooked & seasoned - waitress asked if I wanted ketchup on the homefries & I told her no, it would ruin them. When my daughter started to act up & we wanted to pay the bill & leave, they were quick to help us out & put leftovers in a to-go bag for us. There were other families with small children there too. Although I wouldn't say that this is a place for kids, it's definitely family-friendly. We'll go back again.
