Food is very average at best. Their vegan broth wasn't the best. Chicken Katsu is average. Was room temperature. Mango cheesecake was a pleasant shock though.
The food is delicious, the staff are friendly, & the decor is beautiful. They have the place decorated with Sakura trees, Japanese paintings, & Mario. I recommend the chicken goma.

I ordered the bowl of rice & fried chicken it was good but for the price they did not fill the bowl..& they offered ony rice..i found that was a bit cheap on their part. You buy poke bowls else where its cheaper just as tasty & the bowl are filled to the top to the point where one bowl is share two people...& it has a variety of vegetables.
Not sure I'll order again especially with the cost of food..you need to order from restaurants that you get your money's worth.
😞Disappointed
My husband was craving ramen & I was craving japanese curry - so this was perfect!! The Curry was amazing, I got the chicken cutlet & wow. Next time I would ask for no pickled vegetables. The chicken was super juice & crispy, the rice was perfect, & the curry was amazing & not spicy. My husband also loved his ramen! I would highly recommend this place.
Had the ramen set & a ramen, the Japanese fried chicken is crisp!!! The pork bone broth ramen was so good, broth was rich . Will come again, the food served quick too!
I read many reviews before coming here. It's really hit or miss so I wanted to try for myself. I was there during a power outage last week. I had time to finish my meal before the power went out. I had the gyoza & the fried chicken as appetizers. They were the highlight of the meal cause the ramen really left to be desired. I would say prepackaged stuff from the chinese store is more savoury than what they serve here. The Tonkotsu original ramen was nothing particularly enjoyable. Service was courteous & prompt. But where I had a problem, was with payment. Credit cards couldnt be used because there was no power & my friend & I were 92 cents short in cash to just cover for our meal. & we were told... no, we need the dollar. In a world reliant on plastic for payment, I suppose the lesson is always carry cash: paper & coins! Needless to say, I will not return nor will I recommend for the reasons stated above. & yes, I was offered to make a personal e-transfer to a staff member?...which to me is not an actual proof or guaranty of payment. I wasn't going to transfer money directly to our waitress! We were by no means looking for a free meal but it is your responsability to rethink how you will offer to receive payment, legally, in such extra ordinary circumstances as a power outage.
Cozy little place with beautiful decorations. We tried 3 entrees: salmon sashimi: a bit salty & weird glazed texture. Tuna tataki: tasty & fresh Salmon tartare: delicious & crispy. Main dish: Kara age don: crisp to perfection Tonkotsu chashu original & spicy & Tonkotsu chicken spicy : very tasty & creamy ramen soup. Good experience overall for a rainy cold day. Free parking & wheelchair accessible.
Ordered the Kaisendon with tuna & salmon from their Koi Shokudo menu, it was delicious & tasted fresh. I also ordered the Kara age. The chicken was nice & crispy. Finished the meal with the mango cheese cake, which I liked because it wasn't too sweet. Would definitely recommend this place :)
Located in the most recent development of the Quartier Bois-Franc, Tsukuyomi is in a small commercial section that faces Henri-Bourassa West & opposite the IGA. The resto is designed in a modern izakaya style with bleached wood furnishings & a generally lighter & airier experience than a typical dark wooded izakaya.
The menu is ramen focus (both hot & cold)...for our meal we ordered Chicken Tonkotsu (good but a little bland), Goma Salmon (very good), Gyoza (very good...a classic), Pumpkin Korroke (interesting...not bad, just interesting), & Karaage Donburi (good...but a bit plane...just fried chicken in a plain rice bowl). The service was very friendly & attentive. Overall a worthy visit & good to have a decent Japanese resto in that part of town. Enjoy!

We ordered fried chicken, fried calamari, cold chicken sesame oil ramen & traditional ramen.
Everything was delicious. Not too salty, & just enough flavor to hit the spot. I don't know how to describe it, but the flavors, textures & cook just felt 'right'.
