TSUJIRI was founded in 1860 by Riemon Tsuji who was renowned for his spirit of “YUWA”, meaning "continue to innovate and sustain the tradition". His statue was built in Kyoto, Japan to honor his contribution to the Japanese tea industry. Mr. Tsuji has refined the cultivation of Gyokuro (the highest grade of Japanese green tea) and his method is still being used to this day. He is also the inventor of the tea box that preserves the longevity and freshness of the tea leaves during transportation, making fresh tea from Kyoto available to other Japanese cities a century ago. In 2010, CHAHO, which means tea shop in Japanese, was first established outside of Japan to carry on our founder’s spirit and to serve fresh tea to our customers worldwide.

Absolutely loved this place! Visited the restaurant last week, & oh boy - I must say, they serve the best matcha in town. From the moment I walked in, I was amazed by the variety of matcha-infused desserts on the menu. Their matcha-flavored cakes were heavenly - rich, balanced, & full of authentic matcha goodness. I haven't tried the matcha tiramisu yet, but it's definitely on my list for next time. If you're a matcha lover, this spot is an absolute must-visit!
While staying in Montreal for 3 days, we've visited Tsujiri 3 times because we enjoyed the Hojicha that much! The Softserve was creamy! The Latte refreshing! Wished they had one here in Philly!
Had a fantastic time at this Japanese spot! The food was top-notch, & the ice cream was absolutely divine - creamy, flavorful, & utterly delicious! Can't wait to go back & try more! 🍜🍦

Cosy coffee/matcha shop. Casual talking to friends & passing time with amazing pastry & drinks. The cakes were all amazing & fluffy & light, not too sweet.
This place is going head to head with closeby competitor Matcha Zanmai, with similar offerings centering around Matcha & Hojicha. Tsujiri does have a larger menu with some other items not found at Zanmai however. It also offers more seating for customers, which is especially useful for the cold months. I went for the matcha ice cream & was satisfied with the texture & flavour of the dessert. I'm not a fanatic of Matcha but definitely appreciate it.
This was our go-to spot for good-quality matcha. The matcha shiratama parfait & matcha latte were rich in flavour. Not too sweet. The lighting in the place was a bit dark for our taste in terms of ambience, but overall, it was a 10/10 for anything matcha-related.

Ordered their signature parfait & matcha latte. Their matcha quality is ok not too great. Their parfait was disappointing for the price. Specially when you are just one block away from Matcha Zanmai. I think they need to up their game with the quality of the matcha & the parfaits. Their atmosphere & seating arrangements were good.
adorable place to get matcha sweets & work on your assignments! the owner is super friendly & i've only had great experiences with the staff & the food!
only downside is that, while it has tons of seating places, the cafe gets crowded really fast & almost never has any free tables, so get there early!
