I've been here a lot over the years & that says something. I really loved their cakes as it's not too sweet & creamy. I liked eating their cold noodles on a hot day in summer. Although, their drinks might be a bit sweet for some people (for example below, Hojicha milk tea blended), but I liked the level of sweetness. It might be hard to talk as the ambience can be a bit loud due to the blender blending loudly or people chatting. Overall, recommended coming here on dates, studying, or chatting with friends. It has that calming Japan feel.
My former favorite has become increasingly unpalatable. The matcha latte is bland, & the ice cream is loaded with a bunch of random, unremarkable toppings to justify spending $10. The price has gone up, but the quality has declined. The ambiance is also worse; it used to be quiet & elegant, but now it feels like a market, where you have to shout to order. The counter is so wide that you have to lean forward to barely communicate with the staff.
I had a lovely visit to Tsujiri! The menu is concise & well-defined, which usually guarantees quality-& they certainly delivered on that. The grilled pork noodle soup was delicious & clearly prepared with care. I also tried the roasted green tea, which was flavorful & hit the spot.
?However, I was quite disappointed that my tea was served in a paper cup despite me dining in.
Apparently, they had run out of glassware. For a premium tea house, drinking out of paper really takes away from the experience & the flavor. On the bright side, the matcha orders at other tables looked stunning! I'd love to come back for the food, but I hope they sort out their inventory so guests can enjoy the full aesthetic next time
My favourite place to get matcha in the city. The quality is top notch & always delicious.
So yummy! This was 20$ for both, but the quality makes it worth it. & everyone is so nice!
They have great quality matcha for the price, & it's bigger shop than imagined. With modern & calm room decorations that's black. & oh, I love their ice cream! I am a big Matcha fan, so I love that their matcha desserts & drinks taste more'bitter' & tea-like than your usual matcha store. They also offer free wifi, since there are a lot of students around. Unfortunately, I don't think it's a good study place there. During the many times I went there, it's often crowded & kind of noisy.
Amazing tea & food both savoury & sweet but their atmosphere is disrupted by the sound of ANNOYING buzzers has to be a better way
Their interior could have better tables /chairs to match what high quality the food is
MY NEW OBSESSION!! the matcha tastes really good & you can tell it's good quality matcha . the staff is so nice 10/10
