TSUJIRI was founded in 1860 by Riemon Tsuji who was renowned for his spirit of “YUWA”, meaning "continue to innovate and sustain the tradition". His statue was built in Kyoto, Japan to honor his contribution to the Japanese tea industry. Mr. Tsuji has refined the cultivation of Gyokuro (the highest grade of Japanese green tea) and his method is still being used to this day. He is also the inventor of the tea box that preserves the longevity and freshness of the tea leaves during transportation, making fresh tea from Kyoto available to other Japanese cities a century ago. In 2010, CHAHO, which means tea shop in Japanese, was first established outside of Japan to carry on our founder’s spirit and to serve fresh tea to our customers worldwide.

I liked that it has a bigger menu & more seating compared to the Toronto location

This cafe is a famous matcha brand in Japan. I ordered tiramisu & hojicha latte. The sponge of the tiramisu was very dry & hard, so it's not tasty. I didn't really taste the matcha, so I don't recommend it. The hojicha latte had a refreshing hojicha aroma, but it might be better to buy it yourself on Amazon or make it yourself using hojicha powder from another matcha shop. It's a good place to relax when you're feeling a bit tired after walking around downtown.

Great matcha tea based resto serving lunch meals (tried the tonkatsu soba) , tasty adzuki matcha & yummy dessert that is not too sweet.

I had high expectations when a friend recommended this place, but unfortunately, I left very disappointed. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt disorganized & unwelcoming, their terrace was a mess, the staff didn't seem engaged or happy to be there. The display was poorly stocked (only two dessert options available at 1pm). I ordered an iced matcha latte that was decent, but my friend's drink, which was supposed to be lightly sweetened, came out far too sweet. Overall, not the experience I was hoping for.

I love going to Tsujiri! They have the best matcha ice cream & tea. I always get my tea there. Best quality tea in Montréal.

I visited around 6:00 PM, & by that time there were not many options left to choose from. However, the dessert I got was very tasty & well made.

One issue I had was with the takeout. It did not come with any fork or spoon, which made it inconvenient for me to eat back at the hotel.

Overall, good dessert, but it would be more helpful if utensils were included with takeout orders.

This place opens too late & closes too soon. It's unacceptable. Do they not want to do business or what?

Their matcha is really good! What I love most about this place is that there's plenty of seating, so it's perfect for catching up with a friend or sitting down to study.

This is a specialty matcha café. They use dense brown sugar in the shiratama parfait & kuromitsu matcha glace, which overpowered the overall flavor & made it feel almost medicinal. Their yuzu drink & hojicha ice cream were really good. The café also has plenty of seating, so it's a nice place to sit down & relax.

Recommend: hojicha soft serve with kuromitsu syrup, the yuzu cheesecake, & their special opera

Very well decorated Japanese place that serves drinks & ice cream, specializing in match flavors. The ice is super good & worth the price. Oh, & you can also order match slushie with ice cream on top. Very spacious so you can sit down with group of friends or family

I'm sooo happy i found a new matcha café in Montreal ! Im a big matcha drinker so im always looking for real strong matcha.

I tried the matcha latté & it was DELICIOUS ! I cannot wait to try the other items on the menu.

The place is big, lots of seating inside but also outside.

I just wished it was open in the morning! 😫
