My husband & I went for dinner & the food was incredible. We went at 6 so I feel like we were pre-party atmosphere but all the staff was chatting with us; it was a great vibe. We had coconut shrimp, oxtail tacos, & jerk chicken. While all was amazing, I'm going back again for that jerk chicken…..best I've had in the area. Highly recommend :)View more

I visited this place the last time I was in Montreal just for dancing & it was a great time. This time we were adamant about going for the food & made the reso weeks in advance. My husband & I had trouble deciding on what we wanted to eat because everything was fantastic. We had the Rasta pasta with oxtails, ackee & salt fish fritters, oxtail tacos & the jerk chicken. Oh my! Everything was so good. I was surprised about the amount of chicken we were given, the tacos were flavorful, the pasta had the perfect amount of spice & the fritters were phenomenal. The service 10/10. Jah was our waitress & Arielle is who greeted us at the door, both so kind & attentive. The restaurant was short staffed so we waited about 10 mins before being seated, the staff were incredibly kind & gave us free drinks to apologize for the delay. When Arielle found out it was our anniversary they gave us dessert on the house. The hospitality & service was amazing. I truly recommend to everyone & we may even go back before having to return to Alberta!View more

went out for valentine's day & had the most amazing experience. the hostess greeted us with so much kindness & consideration. she made sure to give us an amazing table & paid attention to the little details. the service from the server was also amazing & served with a smile! the food was fantastic. i had the rasta pasta with jerk chicken & it's definitely a must!! the live music was also amazing & the $35 pitcher of rhum punch was so worth it! definitely coming back soon!View more

EXCELLENT! Friday night, the music was a vibe, the spicy pineapple margarita was delicious. We ordered the jerk calamari... omg... the best calamari we ever had... with pikliz!!!! & the side jerk sauce with a little sweetness!!!!! YYUUUMMMMYYYYY!!!! Honestly that sauce should be bottled & sold everywhere because I would use it with everything. We also ordred the jerk poutine & the oxtail mac & cheese. It was just so tasty & perfect. I love how they mix all the Carribean superstar foods together in flavorbomb balanced heavenly bites. The staff was kind, knowledgable, from the hostess to the busboy. The waitress was attentive. It looked like they all worked well as a team (even with a short staff due to some being under the weather that day & not able to show up to work). I've been there before & tried different apps & entres: mushrooms, plaintain, chicken wings, tacos.... everything was tasty. Where do I even start! My friends & I travelled from NJ to celebrate my birthday. Ariel & Jessica worked their magic to ensure we had a great experience from start to finish! Ariel & Jessica were warm, inviting, & provided exceptional service. The DJ was absolutely amazing, his Kompa set was fire! The food was a 10/10. I tasted the jerk chicken, oxtail Mac & cheese, jerk wings, & my expectations were met! The drinks were fabulous! Amazing food! Service outstanding. Jessica is friendly & professional. All fresh ingredients. Jerk wings were great, mild or spicy mango. Jerk chicken, Shrimp were outstanding, big kick. Rice & peas great. Fries great. Special request, red snapper phenomenal. I am gluten free, so I couldn't enjoy the Mac n cheese, but the rest of the group said it was good. For a group of Black people from the South, it is high praise. People were not fans of the rum cake. Thank you for accommodating our large group. Interesting place if you go on a weekday with someone else, great vibe! Unfortunately I went with a group of 15 + friends & it was a bit chaotic. I had a few chicken wings + 1 fish ball + small portion of poutine & 2 calamari rings for 30$+ tx (as part of the group menu). They could've been more generous after almost splitting our group in two despite having a reservation.View more

We loved it. We just discovered this place & what a find! A classy restaurant with Caribbean vibes. The menu is next level. Not the usual mundane & traditional offerings. Everything has a delightful & delicious twist. My boyfriend said that it was the best prepared red snapper he ever had. I had jerk chicken wings & mango, tamarind chicken wings. They were a tad salty but delicious. The rice was amazing! The couch style seats were a bit too deep for me & my boyfriend thought that the rails on the stairs could have been placed from the first stair instead of the third. The Jerk Chicken Mac & Cheese was delicious. The place looked in fact tropical. The service was on point.
The only reason why it’s not a five star is that we waited almost an hour for the food. Even when the food arrived it didn’t arrive at same time. There was a huge time lapse between some of us. The part I couldn’t understand is how my fries only arrived when everyone finished the meal.View more

Néanmoins, le rasta pasra était super bon! Le mélange d'épices était savoureux. Avec le jerk chicken c'est encore mieux! via LibroNice but unprofessional staff. We came on a Sunday evening, our food took an hour to be served. A couple of us never got our appetizers, the rest got them a while after we finished the main course. No knives at our table, the waitress did not check to make sure we were ok. She only came to take our orders & again for us to pay, had no idea what we actually received. It felt more like I was at a friends house then being served, which is not a big deal for a cheap menu, but when you're paying 32$ for a single tentacle of octopus (which looks fancy but in reality doesn't cost much) & 28$ for a handful of mediocre jerk chicken, I expect good service.

We loved the ambiance the drinks were good ..could be a little stronger but we recommend you get the strawberry mojito it really was a breeze of fresh air with a hint of get me ready for the after party (hip/hop /Afro beats )which are on fridays & Saturdays we went on a Saturday now let's get to the food the star of the show was the Rasta pasta , the jerk chicken & the guava wings are a must the jerk was seasoned to a T , the Rasta pasta was a mix up of Haitian , Trinidadian & African flavors all mixed into one you can add meat of your choosing for extra we got the lobster but it's also stands on its own the Mac & cheese was good if you like a milder cheesy pasta dish & don't sleep on the cheesy callalloo dip w/ the plantain chips ! The chef was really cool he touched on his inspirations for the dishes as well as the fact he changes the menu every 6 months which we will be back to check it out for the next menu! It is definitely a vibe our server Danielle is the best & was filled w/ recommendations 2 things 1. get there on Time 2 hr seating only & 2.have the best time !

Chicken was semi-warm with rubbery skin & the marinade was pasty as the raw spices had not been cooked. The oxtail tacos were one note that could have benefited from a crunchy slaw for a little bit of acidity. Overall disappointing.

We found this an odd experience...overall good food but poor service, & one of the rum drinks (tropikal passion) tasted like water. It took a long time for anyone to greet us or take drink orders. Our server spent more time on her iPad than talking to us, & was confused by our order each time. We liked the jerk chicken wings, ceviche was weird & soupy, great prawn tacos. They were out of oysters (though I saw a platter go by), & no mint meant our drink order wasn't possible (but mint is not mentioned in the drink description). We also ordered the po' boy sandwich, which never arrived. We'd had enough, so used the e-payment system (no sign of the sandwich on the bill) & quickly left. Would not recommend - decent food doesn't make up for poor service & drinks missing alcohol.

via LibroWent with my wife around 7pm on a Saturday, hostess tried seating us at the bar saying there's no tables available. Restaurant was empty. When I reserved a week in advance I booked a table in the restaurant so not sure what changed. After some confusion got a small table & hostess reminded us again we have the table for 2 hours lol. Poutine with lobster was good. Ordered the Jerk chicken & Rasta pasta it came out within 2mins of us ordering it. Didn't know that's possible. Drinks were subpar. Beer was good only one option. Waitress was nice & helpful. Not sure if the place wants to be a restaurant or a bar or club? I guess it's all three. Felt like the the club was more important than the food.
