From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, authentic, & inviting. A big shoutout to server, Emmie who was incredibly welcoming, attentive, & genuinely made me feel at home.
The food was outstanding. Chef Dali truly knows what he's doing. The Penna Alla Gigi he recommended was exceptional - perfectly balanced flavours, rich yet not overwhelming, & clearly made with care & expertise.
Overall, everything about this place: the food, the service, & the atmosphere was top-tier. The staff really elevated the entire experience & made it a solid 5-star visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great Italian experience.
My friends & I went to celebrate the first nice warm day of the season & had the most wonderful service. Thank you Yassim, Pietro, Dali & Michael! All of them were pleasant & accommodating, especially as our group was a little rowdy ;) we ate & drank to our hearts content, what a great way to kick off the summer!
Pietro, Michael Yacine & Dali were a pleasure. They made us feel so welcome. Dining at trattoria Gio was an excellent way to ring in the summer season in Montreal. Can't wait to come back :)
Came to this place with some friends from out of town & this place has a great ambience & great music. The food is amazing & the food came right on time. Our server Yassine was amazing he was so kind & made us feel welcome. Yassine's service was outstanding & had our food brought to us quickly & fresh.
I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. The pasta sauce tasted like it was right out of a can. There was no cheese, & the pasta didn't taste fresh. My friends got the pizza, & it was also nothing special. We were there with a big group, & the service was at least decent & they brought our food fast.
However, the owner or someone working there came over & asked us to leave a positive review in exchange for a free tiramisu. It really felt like a tourist trap, especially considering the price. I paid about $37 for one bowl of pasta, & it just wasn't worth it. I would not recommend this place.
Amazing experience, we went for a bachelorette dinner with a large group. Everyone was very attentive & accommodating! The food was good & good sizes. Will come back.
Assez étrange comme accueil. On entre dans le restaurant & on nous dit qu'il n'a pas de place pour nous accueillir (18h45 on est 2, le restaurant est à 50% remplis). On sors, on regarde sur internet pour réserver plus tard, alors on réserve pour 19h15 (magie, il y a de la place). En entrant le même homme me regarde avec un sourire moqueur prêt à me dire qu'il n'a pas de place, mais cette fois-ci nous avons réservation. Ça n'avait pas l'air à lui faire plaisir du tout. Ordinaire un peu considérant le fait que le restaurant ne s'est pas remplis pendant les 45 minutes où nous étions présent.
La nourriture est correct pour le prix.
Rien à enlever au serveuse qui elles étaient heureuses de travailler.
I had such an odd experience! Everything was just so… slow. I went in the evening & it was empty. The server took our orders, later brought our appetisers. Then an hour later we assumed that they simply forgot our mains. Then he came & asked if we were ready for the mains. Then later we had to ask for the bill twice before finally receiving the bill. & he never asked if we wanted take put boxes, & we had a lot of food leftover ( i didnt state it either so its not entirely the servers fault ). But i ended up spending much longer than expected in that restaurant due to the slowness.
Excellente expérience dans ce restaurant italien. Le service est irréprochable : rapide, professionnel & très chaleureux. Un grand merci à Yassine, pour son accueil & son attention aux détails. La pizza est savoureuse bien garnie avec des ingrédients frais & le gâteau au chocolat est absolument délicieux fondant à souhait.
