About

Tori Ramen centers its culinary focus on the precise craft of Japanese noodle soups defined by rich, layered broths and artisanal techniques. Each bowl highlights the interplay between springy, alkaline wheat noodles and carefully simmered proteins that showcase deep umami complexity. The menu emphasizes traditional seasoning profiles, featuring marinated soft-boiled eggs, tender bamboo shoots, and crisp nori to complete the architectural build of every serving. The setting utilizes a functional, minimalist design aesthetic that directs total attention toward the steaming bowls of liquid essence presented at the counter. Diners engage with a menu that prioritizes the structural integrity of the broth and the specific texture of the noodles above all peripheral distractions. This establishment serves as a deliberate destination for enthusiasts seeking technical consistency within the ramen craft.

Review Summary

Tori Ramen offers a diverse dining experience within the Royalmount food court, frequently praised for its rich, flavorful broths and visually appealing presentation that draws comparisons to authentic Japanese cuisine. While many patrons highlight the high quality of dishes like the tonkotsu, paitan, and truffle mazemen, experiences are notably inconsistent regarding temperature, seasoning, and ingredient freshness. Feedback ranges from enthusiastic recommendations citing the restaurant as a top choice in Montreal to disappointment regarding dry proteins and perceived over-salting, suggesting a polarizing reputation that leaves some visitors thoroughly satisfied while others find the value lacking compared to other options.

Girlfriend is happy

We ordered:
- Ramen Tonkotsu
- Ramen Kara
- Chicken Karaage

Foods arrived pretty fast, Ramen broth was really balanced in a good way, & we killed the Karaage :)

This MIGHT warrant a 4 stars IF the soups were hotter (temperature wise) & more flavor... But no. The kara that I ordered is just basic spiciness, underneath there is almost no flavor, other than being a bit salty. The noodles themselves are also quite simple, definitely not homemade or anything... Lacks texture.

Honestly it feels like just having Shin instant noodles... When there is a Sansotei just around the corner in a walking distance with better soup & noodles, it doesn't justify the cost... Hence, sorry for the 3 stars.

Ramen au poulet, le meilleur bouillon que j'ai jamais goûté!

The miso tuna mazemen was delicious & unique, but a little too salty. The tuna was sliced so thin that it felt skimpy & didn't add much substance to the dish, & the overall price felt high for a food court meal.

Honestly one of my top Ramen places located in the food court Le Foufou of Royalmount. The soup base is so rich & heavy in flavour. They should open up their own spot. Whenever Its cold out, or I'm craving for ramen, this is where i go. & free parking for up to 4 hours, so win win

The shoyu ramen was delicious. My son says the beautiful presentation looks like it was taken straight from an anime.

I always order at this place & always order tonkotsu & they're always sooo good. But I noticed recently that the broth tasted different & the pork slices changed like they substituted it with bacon. Its still good but im kind of disappointed.
