About

Tiramisu delivers a precise synthesis of Italian culinary traditions and Japanese precision within a high-energy architectural space. The menu emphasizes structural contrasts, pairing hand-stretched pasta with delicate raw fish preparations and artfully executed crudos. Guests encounter a fusion concept where traditional starch-based comfort meets the clean, umami-forward profiles of Tokyo-inspired seafood techniques. The kitchen maintains rigorous standards for ingredient sourcing to support a diverse selection of appetizers and shared plates. High-gloss surfaces and theatrical lighting define the atmosphere, mirroring the duality of the dual-continent culinary influence. This establishment serves as a focal point for those seeking a modern interpretation of Mediterranean and East Asian flavors prepared with technical consistency. Every dish highlights the intersection of two distinct food cultures through a calculated and methodical approach to plate assembly and flavor layering.

Review Summary

Tiramisu is widely recognized for its beautiful, chic, and inviting atmosphere, making it a popular choice for both casual dinners and celebratory group events in Montreal. Many guests praise the creative fusion of Italian and Japanese cuisines, particularly highlighting the high quality of the pizzas, tartare appetizers, and the signature tiramisu. While a significant portion of the clientele reports outstanding, attentive service and a friendly, professional staff, experiences can be inconsistent. Some patrons have noted challenges with long wait times, occasional errors in order accuracy, and smaller portion sizes, while others have expressed frustration regarding rigid reservation policies and mandatory gratuity structures for larger groups. Despite these mixed reports, the restaurant remains a highly recommended destination for those seeking unique flavor combinations, expertly crafted cocktails, and a stylish environment.

Top tier appetizers - The Tartare de Boeuf & Carpaccio were amazing. Great pizza options, but stay Away from the Pasta menu as many have mentioned.

Je déconseille fortement le poulet, il est juste servi avec de la sauce tomate & des pommes sèches quasiment brûlées. Globalement la cuisine y est fade

Came in for lunch while staying in the Hilton next door. I was pleasantly surprised. Cocktail was amazing & lunch was probably the best I had while staying in then area. Flavors & presentation, amazing. 5 stars across the board.

Great flavours but of the two dishes, the pizza was cold when we got it & the burrata on top had already melted. It was a good experience, however it did not have a wow factor.

If you're looking for a Valentine's Day dinner that tests both your patience & your expectations for edible food, this restaurant absolutely delivers.

The pasta arrived proudly undercooked - apparently the chef believes'al dente' means'still fighting for its life.' The portions were impressively tiny, which I assume was meant to help us focus on the experience rather than actually feeling full. Nothing says romance like leaving dinner hungry.

The fish came soaked in a vinaigrette so aggressively unpleasant that it completely overpowered everything else on the plate. I'm still unsure whether it was meant to be dressing or a science experiment. & the cake served for dessert? A bold culinary statement - mainly that desserts can, in fact, belong directly in the trash.

The only reason the night didn't collapse entirely was our waitress, who was genuinely great at her job & clearly working overtime to compensate for what was coming out of the kitchen. She deserves credit - & probably an apology.

As for the Valentine's Day menu, calling it a'special' feels generous. It was more of a cleverly packaged scam: high prices, tiny portions, & food that made us question every life choice that led us there. Honestly, I've had more satisfying meals at McDonald's, & at least there you know what you're signing up for.

I will never, ever, ever recommend eating here. Save your money, save your evening, & literally go anywhere else.
