The Keg Steakhouse + Bar opened the doors of its first restaurant in 1971 in Vancouver. Since then, The Keg has expanded across Canada and the US to include over 100 locations. Although its name and décor have changed over time, the dining experience has always stayed consistent. The Keg’s focus has been, and continues to be, on providing exceptional service and quality food in a comfortable atmosphere for its guests.
Quality, comfort and value are three key ingredients that make The Keg experience unlike any other. When it comes to steak, The Keg serves only the finest cuts, aged for tenderness and seasoned with a unique blend. Classic cocktails, delicious appetizers, succulent seafood, and an outstanding wine list round out its classic menu. The Keg’s friendly and knowledgeable staff creates an atmosphere that encourages guests to enjoy, relax and be themselves. Whether you’re getting together with friends or celebrating with family, you’ll always be welcomed with a smile.
Overall, reviews for The Keg Steakhouse + Bar highlight warm, attentive service and a chic, cozy atmosphere, with meals described as delicious and steak cooking often praised, including ribeye and filet mignon; guests frequently mention feeling well cared for, even on busy nights, and many notes about generous wine and dessert options and celebrations; however, some visits are marked by concerns about value for money, high prices, and occasional inconsistencies in taste or preparation, with reports of bland sides, overly salty dishes, or meals that did not meet expectations; despite the mixed notes, the experience is generally described as enjoyable and memorable, with staff and service repeatedly praised.

Thank you for that's awesome moment celebrating my birthday with my sweetheart, had a excellent service, the baseball sirloin was great & the lobster tail was delicious. Thanks to our waiter kristofer for his expertise & actually taking the time to explain us the menu & the difference between the different steak cuts without ever feeling rushed.
I have no photos to tell the tale but the service was absolutely wonderful here. It was wonderful all the way but I wanted to highlight something in particular. My aunt expressed disappointment when our waitress told us they didn't have the beef rib anymore (we were there for quite an early dinner, around 6:00-6:30) & our waitress went ahead & let her manager know. The manager then came out & told us that they were sorry about the beef rib & that we could either get shots or a dessert plate. We chose a dessert plate & they basically brought out 4 of their full size desserts for us, on the house. My aunt had expressed disappointment as a natural reaction, not in the sense of'let me talk to the manager I have a complaint' & yet they still went the extra mile for us. I was honestly really pleased with this level of care & the burger I ordered was excellent. No complaints!

Don't come here. This location clearly prioritizes cramming in as many seats as possible over basic comfort or a good customer experience. Tables are jammed so close together you end up shoulder-to-shoulder with strangers, dodging servers & elbows the whole time. It's noisy, cramped, & stressful - the opposite of a relaxing meal.
Layout makes no sense: tiny two-tops shoved beside high-traffic zones, larger parties squeezed into corners with zero space to move, & some tables practically touching the entrance or washroom hallway. You feel rushed before you even sit down. Chairs are hard & wobbly, there's no room for bags or coats, & you're constantly getting bumped because there's barely an aisle. If you value personal space, forget it.
Service suffers because of the overcrowding. Staff are hustling but clearly stretched thin, so basics lag - water refills, cutlery, checking in after food arrives. Food comes out at odd intervals & cools fast in the drafty spots. The noise level is cafeteria-grade; you end up shouting across the table. Accessibility is an afterthought: tight turns, blocked paths, & nowhere to park a stroller or mobility aid without being in someone's way.
This isn't just my night, either. A lot of other reviews for the Saint-Bruno location say the same things: overbooked, packed in, chaotic atmosphere, long waits even with a reservation, & staff forced to manage a floor plan that puts turnover ahead of comfort. The pattern is pretty clear - maximize seats, minimize experience.
If management wants repeat customers, they need to pull tables, widen aisles, fix traffic pinch points near the door & washrooms, add soft surfaces to tame the reverb, & stop overbooking peak hours. Until then, there are plenty of places nearby that won't make you pay to feel like you're eating in a hallway.
I ordered the prime rib 10oz medium well done. When I received it, it looked grey & was very dry, there was a little pink in the middle. The twice baked potato had little flavor & I think it was four times baked. Very expensive restaurant.
We went in Sunday September 7th for dinner to celebrate our 34th Anniversary.. we have been to the Montreal location but this was the first time at St Bruno ... The staff were amazing ... Our server Audrey Ann was extremely pleasant , efficient & sweet .... She was also the first server that has ever immediately asked us about food allergies, I have severe shell fish allergies so I appreciate being asked prior .... The kitchen even came out to verify as we ordered Ceasar salad that it was just shell fish & not all fish , which again greatly appreciated.... We were also asked if we celebrating anything that night , we told her our anniversary we offered' champaign' , we told her we did not drink alcohol so we were offered complimentary dessert , which was fabulous!!!! Our meal was delicious, the service amazing, I told our server Audrey Ann, even better than the Montreal location.... Definitely recommend the Keg St Bruno.
We went for supper at The Keg in St-Bruno. Reservation was super quick online the same day, very convenient. When we arrived there was a long line of people waiting, but with our reservation we got seated right away.
The restaurant was packed & had a nice lively vibe. Our server was quick even though he had a lot of tables & checked in with us a few times. Drinks were delicious, & our steaks were cooked exactly the way we ordered them, three different requests, all done perfectly.
The only downside was the table setup (oval table with half couch & two chairs) which felt cramped for three people. But overall, service & food were excellent. I would recommend this location for a quality meal & great atmosphere.
