From crispy dosas to flavorful sambar, everything was a delight for the senses. This restaurant is a must-visit for South Indian cuisine enthusiasts & those looking to explore its rich flavors.
Wonderful experience, the customer service was top notch as they accommodated all our request. Food was delicious! One of the best south Indian restaurants that I have tried in MTL
One of the best place to eat South Indian food. Super clean. Staff is really sweet & welcoming.
Love it there.
Good south indian food in Montreal, can improve on hygiene & ambience but overall good & budget friendly
We had medhu vada, onion Rava dosa, masala dosa. Excellent Very authentic South Indian taste. Highly recommend
Great South Indian restaurant. Food was nice & service was quick. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for some south indian food in Montreal.
A good place for thali, chettinad chicken curry & rice & South Indian food. Would really recommend to go here.

Unfortunately I don't like Indian food so my review is biased. But we went there for someones birthday.
The service was very slow I found. It took a very very long time to get our food. About 1 hour.
The food, EVERYTHING, was SO SPICY!!! I really had a hard time eating & finishing my plate. According to everyone else it was very good. But not for me.

Thanjai is a South Indian restaurant in Côtes-des-Neiges with a very unusual menu. You won't find any Tikka, Tandouri or other Northern & Anglo-Indian regulars here... Instead, you'll find such things as Rasam, Potato Bonda, Sambar Vada, Dosas & the likes.
There are two things we liked about Thanjai: First, its prices ($25 per person tax & tip in? wow). Second, the fact that the dining room was, with the exception of our table, filled with Indian families. You know you're in good hands when the local community frequents a place for a Sunday dinner.
