Did go to the. Original Yanktzee on Van Horne in Cote des Neiges you all should be ashamed &. Know a lot better that the place was sold in 2008 after 55 years being in its original Yanktzee location obviously it will never ever be the same original Yanktzee was one of the all time greatest Chinese restaurants in Canada for a. We ordered takeout from here recently. The service itself was good, our order was ready quickly & the lady on the phone was very kind & pleasant. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing, especially considering the price. The fried rice was terrible, it was very dry & tasted old. We didn't eat any of it & ended up throwing the entire rice out. The wonton soup was also not edible; my husband couldn't eat it at all. The vegetarian chow mein was not great either, although we did finish it. The only thing we really enjoyed was the sweet & sour soup, which was actually quite good. Overall, it was far too expensive for the quality we received.

Save your money unless you want deep fried garbage & empty dumplings. They sent the rib sauce but forgot the ribs. Case closed.

I am sad to see so many negative reviews. This has been our go-to place for Christmas Eve dinner for many years & occasionally we order from them outside that for birthdays or other special events. The food has always been very good. Eggrolls, soup, we always switch up the pineapple chicken for chicken soo guy (delish!) & a new favourite, the crispy pork & black mushrooms. Very tasty & great texture if you like mushrooms! I have never eaten in there but will be doing so with friends soon.

Used to be decent, has gone way downhill. Eggrolls much smaller & not as tasty as before, chicken dish had barely any chicken, only batter, other dishes were tasteless & overcooked.
