Service was terrific. I really liked the grilled octopus, the monk fish catch of the day & their patata bravas. My son loved his mocktail 🩵View more
If you love Spanish cuisine, this restaurant is a must-try! The service is warm & attentive from the moment you walk in, & the dishes are all fantastic-you can't go wrong. The beef tartare with crispy potato strips was amazing, & the Tapa of the Day's bread, toasted to perfection with a flavorful sauce & ham, was a standout. The seafood paella is one of the best in Montreal, with generous toppings & perfect seasoning. Don't miss the churros either-they're incredible! A great experience overall. Make sure to reserve in advance!View more
The ambiance is always nice. However, what happened to the food? None of the dishes tasted authentic Spanish. For instance, why would they add sweet potato purée to the octopus dish & the paella should have a crispy layer of rice underneath the pan but it felt more like a risotto as there were too much liquid... It is a restaurant serving "Spanish inspired" small plates but it felt more like French food. There are more true Spanish tapas restaurants we tried like Bocado in Prince Edward Country (few hours away from Montreal). Unfortunately, we wont be going back as we were not satisfied from the meal.View more
Quality ingredients meets great technique to create flavorful & bright Spanish dishes. The servers are knowledgeable about their menu & are passionate about giving the patrons a great experience. We ordered the lunch prix fixe menu & the value was incredible!View more
Four of us had a terrific dinner here on a cold Sunday night. Food was stunningly good, service was perfect & very helpful with spot-on suggestions. The scallop ceviche was especially truly special but everything else was indeed memorable as well. Salmon tartare, cod croquettes, fideos, piri-piri chicken, garlic shrimp, tomato with goat cheese & beef is what we went for. All accompanied by 2 Spanish wines that matched perfectly. A return visit is definitely in order. Great spot!View more
Average quality food that is wayyy too expensive for the quantity. The ambiance & service was very good, but they are charging way too much money under the guise of calling it tapas. This has little to do with Spanish food & culture & everything to do with ripping you off.View more
We had an incredible experience at Tapeo. We really enjoyed the wine list & our server was able to make pairing recommendations based on what we ordered. We had a lot of tapas & then the half portion of paella, churros & espresso martinis for dessert. Everything was perfect- but our favourite dishes were the Spanish omelette, piri piri chicken, paella, & beef tartare. The atmosphere was on point & our server was awesome! We loved it & will be back.View more
We decided to try out Tapeo by booking online a table for our wedding anniversary. The good thing is that they actually do call you to confirm your reservation. After we got seated on a jam packed Wednesday night, Bobby (our waiter) made us feel at ease & welcomed. We tried 6 Tapas : Spanish Tortilla (very good), Octopus Salad (very Good),Patatas Bravas (good), Chorizo (good),Garlic Shrimps (excellent),& Cod fish friters (excellent). We also decided to try 2 different desserts: Mousse of Dattes & Creme Catalane (both are excellent). Overall excellent service & very good food at reasonable prices - Added to my favorite list.
