This is hands down one of the best sushi places I've been to in the West Island. I can't recommend this place enough. The sushi & rice is so fresh & the spicy mayo is free!!!!!
Very good food. Very positive contrast to all the over priced all you can eat sushi in the area. Service was friendly, personal & quick. Will definitely be coming back.
The variety & quality of the food at Sushi Ya Matcha are impressive! Everything tastes fantastic (especially for the reasonable prices!), & the owners are a delight. They've also done a wonderful job with the restaurant's decor. Highly recommended!
The best sushi I've had in Montreal area besides Sakura downtown. The owner is very meticulous in recreating authentic Japanese flavours from her native country Japan. When I'm itching for some takoyaki like in the back streets of Osaka -I order 2-3 orders at a time from here. There also some great great'modern-pop''sushi' here like poke bowls & new style maki. Arigato Gozaimasu!!!

I have been eating at this place from past year. Fresh, delicious sushi & great service! The cozy seating area makes the experience great. Their chef special crunch-style sushi rolls are a standout-tasty, creative, & definitely worth trying. Highly recommend!

Some of the best sushi in Montreal. Always friendly & makes you feel welcomed. Great service, great sushi & great people. One of my favorite spots especially in the West Island.
We went there based on the recommendations here. One of us had sushi & was pleased. Four of us had soba, Udon & teriyaki. We found the three noodle dishes sweet! They put sugar in the broth(!!!) in the seitan & in the omelette. So not-Japanese. It was a huge disappointment. The bill was 100 dollars plus.
