I don't think I need to say much about Hidden Fish…😂 This is my favourite sushi place in Montreal. The quality here is amazing, it is pretty hard to find a raw-fish restaurant for this freshness in Canada with this price range. The dishes also have uniquely delicious flavours & uncommon but super tasty combinations. The chef just really knows how to surprises his guests. It is definitely a must-try experience if you are a foodie or just simply visiting Montreal.
I'm not usually easily impressed with sushi place, however this completely exceeded my expectations. Absolutely incredible experience. Food was tasty & intricate. Love Wagyu Maki & 6pcs chef selection Nigiri. The interior decor & the ambience are wonderful. Highly recommended this place.

As someone who has worked as a sushi chef, I've had my fair share of incredible seafood. But this place completely blew me away. Every single bite had me saying, wow that's the best I've ever had. The salmon, the tuna, the uni, even the rice.. The quality, balance & attention to details were on another level.
This is hands down the best sushi I've ever had! We went with the Chef's choice for both the Sashimi & Nigiri, & it was the perfect decision. Every bite was packed with incredible flavour & absolutely delicious. We also tried the Salmon Tartare Maki & Tuna Tartare Maki, which were both outstanding. The service was top-notch, with knowledgeable & friendly staff. I'll definitely be back. After this experience, I don't think I could go back to regular sushi! Thanks for an unforgettable dinner.
The service & atmosphere 10/10. Waiter was well-informed & the chef's seemed very competent! Not all every sushi piece was great but overall, it is a good-tasting sushi restaurant. It's the aftermath that did not sit so well. I am not sure how fresh their ingredients were for the 5pm sitting but immediately after leaving the restaurant, I could feel that the food was not going to sit well. Food poisoning? I'm sure you can fill in the blanks of what happened as soon as I got home. I've eaten at numerous sushi restaurants all over Japan & at fish markets as well; never had this kind of stomach upset at an somewhat middle/high-end restaurant. TBD if I'd try again with my friends. But thumbs up for the vibe & service.

It was a perfect night-flavorful, top-notch service, & a great vibe. We went with the chef choice & had no regrets. Our waiter kindly explained all the fish. It was a fun experience to taste all the different types of nigiri. The dessert was incredible as well. Not too sweet, just enough. Highly recommend it, especially for special occasions.

Everything is very fresh & beautifully presented. It is clear that the products are of the highest quality, & the chefs know their stuff. The prices, of course, are not the lowest, but believe me, it's worth it! The service is also top notch - the waiters are very attentive & friendly. In general, if you want to try real Japanese cuisine in Montreal, I highly recommend Sushi Hidden Fish. Just book a table in advance, otherwise there may not be any seats. Les prix, bien sûr, ne sont pas les plus bas, mais croyez-moi, ça vaut le coup! Le service est également de premier ordre - les serveurs sont très attentionnés & sympathiques. En général, si vous voulez goûter à la vraie cuisine japonaise à Montréal, je recommande vivement Sushi Hidden Fish. I've rarely written a bad review ever but this place deserves one. Food & service were so underwhelming compared to the value you're getting. This restaurant ruined my last meal of my Montreal trip. If you're out of town & looking for a good sushi spot, save yourself & just go somewhere more affordable with better sushi. We have had many good sushi/omakase in the past & even had them in Japan. So trust me, when I eat a good sushi, I know it's good. We came to this place with high expectations & were willing to splurge on good sushi since they had a good google review. However, our food was so underwhelming. We ordered scallop sashimi - so mid compare to the price we paid, Crab Maki - so mid. It was our least favourite dish & the portion is so small for the price. Chef's choice nigiri - we had high hope for this since it was a whopping $88 for 2 people (12pieces). It was okay, some was good, but it wasn't anything amazing at all. Considered the price, it's not worth it AT ALL. The service for a high end restaurant is also really bad. We ordered only 3 dishes, but everything took over 30 mins to arrive. The last dish, took 1.15 mins to serve which was INSANE. In addition, Nobody really checked up on us until the end of the night. Even more affordable restaurants had a better service than this place. Again, I wouldn't trust these google reviews at all. If you want to have a good night with reasonable priced, & higher quality sushi, please look elsewhere. Save yourself & look for another restaurant. Thank you.
Price is on the higher side, but definitely worth it! Food was exceptional & staff were all very knowledgeable & friendly. We originally booked at the sushi bar to watch them make sushi, but the counter blocks the view so we chose a table instead. In hindsight, we though that maybe by adding a mirror behind the chefs, it would allow a better view of the sushi-making. If you like sushi, you definitely need to visit this restaurant. Will DEFINITELY be going back again.

Our server (Pascal) was super sweet & engaging! She was fairly new (3 weeks) but had an amazing command of the food & gave great recommendations!❤️ the Chefs made some of the best Nigiri I've ever had... & the twist on dry ages meats was incredible! Definitely a MUST try place if you know good sushi & love fresh fish!

Je suis amateur de cuisine japonaise & wowww, la nourriture & les recommandations du chef étaient les meilleures. Le sashimi, les nigiri (recommandation du chef), les nouilles au saumon, etc. wowww, & l'attention dédiée des serveurs, la décoration du lieu rendent cet endroit magique & inoubliable. J'ai été en Asie, en Europe & définitivement, Hidden Fish mérite tous les mérites & étoiles en termes de qualité & de service. 1000% recommandé, le meilleur de Montréal.
Hidden gem 🥰 we tried sashimi 30pc, chefs hocice is perfect! We love every type they served & also for the nigiri! Really stuffed & definitely would come back to discover more!
Amazing experience. Sat at the sushi bar & enjoyed watching the Chefs work & insightful information on how the fish is prepared. We went with the Chefs choice sashimi & nigiri & finished with a nice Maki roll. Top Notch service & food...exactly what we were looking for.
Wow ! Comment dire. Hier, nous avons manger probablement les meilleurs sashimi de notre vie. La fraîcheur & la qualité du poisson, notamment grâce à une technique de vieillissement maîtrisée, ont vraiment surpassé nos attentes. Chaque bouchée était une découverte, un pur délice. Le service était incroyable. L'attention & la courtoisie du personnel contribuent à créer une atmosphère chaleureuse & accueillante. De plus, la carte de saké propose une sélection variée qui complète à merveille les plats servis, ajoutant une autre dimension à la dégustation. Nous étions assis au comptoir bar & clairement le chef était maître de son art,. Observer sa maîtrise & son contrôle de la salle ajoute de l'expérience culinaire incroyable. Son souci du détail était très bien représenté dans chaque assiette servie. Félicitation a toute l'équipe !
