The best mediteranean food in Montréal hands down. Their falafel plate is to die for. I have also tried their hummus, salads, & fries. Everything tastes so good.
I have lost count of how many times I have eaten here or ordered online, & every single time it's the same great taste.
Worth the hype! I loved the falafels & my chicken shawarma.
Great tasty Mediterranean cuisine. Muhamra & kufta were great. Falafel & shawarma were average. Salats all excellent. It's loud place so if you are looking for place to eat in quite it's not for you.
Met up with some friends who were familiar with this place. A bit of an odd structure where you order at the counter & then go to an assigned table where your food is brought out to you & the rest of your meal is table service. Seems like it would be less confusing if they just did table service, but it wasn't a big deal.
I had falafel for the first time & it was excellent! The hummus could use a little more spice, but overall it was an excellent plate.
A great Middle Eastern place - wonderful tasty falafel, some great salads, & really don't sleep on the fries. The drinks were really good as well! Portions were in the large side, & even splitting with my husband, we were pretty full. Looking forward to trying it again soon!
Sat in for dinner tonight for the first time & the food was just incredible! Shared the chicken shawarma plate & the falafel plate & sumac fries with 2 adults & 2 kids. Highly recommend! I wish I could repeat the meal tomorrow.
Best falafel sandwich I've had in a long time. Love the ambience & friendly staff. Great wine.
I've had Sumac many times before & never felt compelled to leave a review but today was just an A1 experience. Every element in the falafel pita was individually well-seasoned & flavorful & fresh. Service was super friendly & place was clean. I highly recommend
Falafel pita with Eggplant is out of this world!!!! Great staff & great vibes.
Easily the best falafel & middle eastern cuisine in the city. Consistently perfection. Well done!!! Can't wait to come back. Delicious beyond compare.
Good food. I love the falafels here coz they are fresh. The salads are good. Desserts weren't that good. Slightly expensive
One of the best Arab Mediterranean (Lebanese?) places I've ever dined at, period! The salads were all fantastic. I particularly loved the falafel & the sabich platters. The Muhammara was up there with the best-rich & nutty! Quantities are generous. Generally par for the cost.. highly recommend!
Their falafel are so moist & tasty. Everything we ordered tasted so good & fresh. Very friendly staff.
I love the food here. It's CONSISTENTLY on point. It's a relaxed vibe, & it can fill up fast but it's worth it! I recommend getting the: -labneh -kefta -falafel *the hot sauce is soo good, don't pass on it. Plus they have a North East IPA on tap. Enjoy!
One of my favourite restaurants in montreal!! The falafel is perfect, not dry & very flavourful. I also love the sumac fries. I always get the falafel plate & it’s enough for two people. The restaurant can get loud around dinner times but it’s still very nice. I highly recommend this place & I always bring people here to eat when they visit montreal.
Tried it once, no need to go back. I only wanted to try the Falafel, that was recommended in a Gazette article. It was very tasty, as was the Baba & Hummus & pita. The fried eggplant 'salad' left much to desire. The chicken tasted like Chinese 5-spice chicken, & was almost disturbingly moist/soft (like at a Chinese buffet).
The service was quick & friendly although the ordering setup with the one cash register needs to be changed. What is stopping them from having their numerous servers taking orders from clients sitting down, at the tables? (considering this is how you order more food or drinks, if you wish).
My suggestion: get a takeout order of the hummus & baba & pita & pick up some chicken from Adonis to make at home.
Cheers!
