I was warmly greeted & placed my order for some sesame bagels. They were fresh out of the oven & delicious. Prefer these over Fairmount bagels & have been eating them for a long time. Highly recommended.
Service was friendly but $8 for freshly squeezed orange juice & its sour & bitter. Pretty disappointed.
Fresh bagels, fast service, you can also have coffee, while the view is not great, but there are a few tables outside. Parking might be a bit difficult, worth a stop. It's always busy, always fresh
I had one of the best bagel sandwiches. The food is fresh & full of flavor.
They pull the bagels straight out of the oven & hand them to you. Hot, fresh, & the best bagel on earth
Damn good bagels seriously, these are on another level. I stopped by St-Viateur Bagel & Café in DDO & ordered the Bagel Marin first, fresh, warm, & loaded with that perfect mix of creamy & savory flavours. The bagel itself was soft on the inside with that signature chewy texture & just the right amount of crunch on the outside. It hit all the right notes.
It was so good that I couldn't resist going back up to order a second one, the Club Bagel, & honestly, no regrets. Packed with fresh ingredients, balanced flavours, & that classic Montreal style bagel taste that St-Viateur is known for. Every bite just reminded me why their bagels are legendary.
The café itself has a relaxed, welcoming vibe, perfect for grabbing a bite with friends or enjoying a quiet coffee & bagel combo. You can smell the fresh baked bagels as soon as you walk in, & it instantly makes you hungry.
If you love bagels or just good food in general, this spot is a must visit. Fresh, flavorful, & dangerously addictive, St-Viateur never misses.
So the famous St-Viateur Bagel shop now has a DDO location in the West Island. They also make sandwiches here, but unfortunately the kitchen closes at 2pm, boo! But you can still get fresh hand made Bagels & more till closing time.
Genuinely love their bagels so much. Big fan especially of sesame & all dressed. Plus they're made here so they're super fresh. The deli has lots of great options & toppings for the bagels. Be advised the main deli closes in the mid afternoon, although fresh bagels & dips are still available after that.
St-Viateur Bagels are awesome, but in the downtown/original location you can only get bagels & spreads in a container. At this location you can get hot bagels as they are constantly making fresh bagels, so generally you can always get a warm batch. This location has a sandwich area & the Bagel & Lox (salmon) is a solid choice. Convenient location just off the highway.
Awesome freshly made bagels. However the tipping needs to stop, I shouldn't be guilted to tip when I order & take out.
A tourist can't come to Montreal & not have St-Viateur bagels. I'm lucky to live here.
The Café is also a great place. They serve a decent variety of fresh delicious bagel sandwiches made right in front of your eyes. The service this far has been exceptional. Definitely a healthier & tastier alternative for breakfast or lunch. I recommend it.
I went there with a concern & the gentleman that took care of me was warm, kind & informative. The bagels that I received were fresh, warm from their oven. After today's experience, I will go back
This...THIS is a Montreal bagel. For those of you who don't know, St-Viateur bagels are the tip top of bagel royalty.
If you've never had a bagel, it's a style of bread prepared into rings by hand where the dough is boiled briefly before it's baked! The result is a soft chewy bread that is good by itself or as base of a great sandwich!
Speaking of sandwiches, there's a separate component of the bakery that makes sandwiches using the bagels baked freshly that day!
If you went to Montreal & didn't have a St-Viateur bagel then you didn't go to Montreal.
