Came for lunch on a Monday afternoon & it was not crowded.
Service was a bit slow as there was only one staff working at the cafe side.
Bagel was great, had the maple apple bagel with cream cheese & it was good. Bought the sesame bagel back home to try & it was also good.
The other half of the place is the bakery selling the bagels & other baked goods
Damn good bagels seriously, these are on another level. I stopped by St-Viateur Bagel & Café in DDO & ordered the Bagel Marin first, fresh, warm, & loaded with that perfect mix of creamy & savory flavours. The bagel itself was soft on the inside with that signature chewy texture & just the right amount of crunch on the outside. It hit all the right notes.
It was so good that I couldn't resist going back up to order a second one, the Club Bagel, & honestly, no regrets. Packed with fresh ingredients, balanced flavours, & that classic Montreal style bagel taste that St-Viateur is known for. Every bite just reminded me why their bagels are legendary.
The café itself has a relaxed, welcoming vibe, perfect for grabbing a bite with friends or enjoying a quiet coffee & bagel combo. You can smell the fresh baked bagels as soon as you walk in, & it instantly makes you hungry.
If you love bagels or just good food in general, this spot is a must visit. Fresh, flavorful, & dangerously addictive, St-Viateur never misses.
Great place for bagels. Service was subpar. Not greeted well. Did not heat our bagels. Recommend going to the cafe area & not where the bagels are made for better service
The best smoked salmon bagel I've ever had in my life.
We also ordered 12 bagels to take home. All the staff at the cafe counter & bagel counter were super friendly. Thanks for everything!
A tourist can't come to Montreal & not have St-Viateur bagels. I'm lucky to live here.
The Café is also a great place. They serve a decent variety of fresh delicious bagel sandwiches made right in front of your eyes. The service this far has been exceptional. Definitely a healthier & tastier alternative for breakfast or lunch. I recommend it.
The bagels are great & consistent with other locations. The cafe was closed though with no explanation as to why they were closed. Maybe they have different hours than the bagelry? Not sure the hours on the door made me think it was open. Otherwise a great place with nice people & super clean.
Went here on Christmas Eve. Service was amazing. The two ladies that took my order were great at making recommendations. All staff here were very warm & welcoming. Tried the salmon bagel as this is what a friend had recommended. Also tried the jaws bagel which basically has a tuna filling. Enjoyed our breakfast. Really cool seeing the bagels getting made & really cool that there is a separate sections to place your order depending on your needs. Coffee was great. Would come here again for the coffee. It's our first time in Montreal coming from London. If you're a fellow Brit reading this, I'd recommend coming here if you're missing the English high street. Coffee is on par to cafe Nero. The tuna bagel is like a Greg's tuna baguette. The salmon one is similar to what we get at home. The bagels are crispy unlike the soft dense ones we are use to In London. Glad to have visited was comparatively a bit expensive. Service was amazing.
St-Viateur Bagel & Café DDO offers a truly authentic Montreal bagel experience. Walking in early morning, you're greeted by the irresistible aroma of freshly baked bagels, still warm from the wood-fired oven. What We Loved: Freshness: The bagels here are the real deal. Chewy on the inside, perfectly crisp on the outside, with that signature hint of sweetness. They're best enjoyed right out of the oven, & St-Viateur delivers on that front. Variety: Beyond the classic poppy & sesame, they offer a delightful range of flavors. Everything from all-dressed to rosemary & sea salt, there's something to satisfy every bagel craving. Cream Cheese: Their cream cheese selection is equally impressive, with flavors like scallion & herb complementing the bagels beautifully. Coffee: A perfect pairing for your bagel, their coffee is rich & flavorful, providing that essential morning pick-me-up. Ambiance: The café has a cozy & inviting atmosphere. It's a great spot to relax with a newspaper & a warm bagel, or catch up with friends. Points to Consider: Popularity: St-Viateur is a popular spot, especially on weekends. Be prepared for a potential wait, but trust us, it's worth it. Parking: Parking can be a bit limited in the area, so plan accordingly. Overall: St-Viateur Bagel & Café DDO is a must-visit for bagel lovers in the West Island. Their commitment to quality & freshness shines through in every bite. Whether you're a Montreal native or just visiting, a morning at St-Viateur is a delicious way to start your day.
Fresh bagels made on site with a cafe. Great place to stop for lunch, buy some merch, & get some fresh bagels for later.
Best bagels in the world, always fresh & quick. Reasonable prices & a nice cafe on site where you can get a sandwich & beverages.
