Well ..it's one of the touristy things to do in Montreal I guess.. nothing fancy.. it's a cash only or Canadian debit card place.. it was not my most favourite bagel but.. like I said something to do as a tourist.. the line for the dine-in was super long.. we went just for the bagles(take out) & that line moved pretty fast.. I think we waited for like 5 mins.. Montreal bagel is smaller & denser than the other bagels I've tried or made.. so this is something you can do just for the experienceView more
i understand why people like Montreal bagels, but i feel like they're not necessarily WORTH the hype. i like my bagels fluffy, i realized, & the bagels are quite hard for my liking ... NONETHELESS, they were still good! we got the traditional bagels (i got the rosemary & sea salt, idk what my bf got tbh) & they were a pretty good price. $13 for each is a pretty good price considering how they could easily just rack up the price. the bagels are affordable (imo) & pretty good regardless of my bagel preference. i would definitely make it a habit to go again if i lived here. the service was also phenomenal & the staff was very kind.View more

Had to wait outside in line for this popular spot. Excellent food & staff was very welcoming & attentiveView more
Great options are offered around the famous bagel. Small / Cozy, very busy place so be ready to wait if you want to sit & eat there.View more
A Montreal staple! The food was delicious & the service was surprisingly very good. I thought it was more of an informal cafe but they actually bring your ordered food right to your table. The meal also filled me up more than anticipated which was awesome! It was also very cool to watch them make the bagels right in front of you. A great time overallView more
I see people getting all hyped up about the bagels from this place but it was honestly alright. The service was fast thoughView more
One of the best places to grab Montreal style bagels. They definitely get busy but they're also quite organized so everything moves along quickly. I always come here at least once to dine in when I'm in Montreal & always leave with bags of freshly baked bagels to take back home to Toronto. I always love the traditional with all dressed bagel. A must when in Montreal!View more
IMO the second best bagel in Montreal. You have to wait maybe 20-30 minutes in line & it's cash only. I really liked the sesame bagel, I got it as the classic lox sandwich.View more
The rosemary & sea salt bagel lived up to the recommendations. Went twice I was so enamored.View more
Very very good bagel, we tried the Traditional (with Salmon & cream cheese), the WoW (with eggplant & sundried tomatoes) which was really wooww & the Plateau (with Turkey). Overall the bagel itself is a winner but I think it's a bit pricey. Consider a quick line sometimes if you wanna dine in.View more
the best bagels in town. you got to try hot bagels!View more
THIS IS A CASH ONLY ESTABLISHMENT (Canadian OR US cash) They also take Canadian Debit cards (?) - there is some sort of debit card system but not for foreign cards. Secondly - if you want bagel sandwiches this is the only location that does it. The original St. Viateur bagel location on Rue St. Viateur DOES not do sandwiches. Overall, I thought the bagel was okay - we were told to ask to order whatever was the freshest bagel, for us that was the sesame. It was cool to see them hand rolling the bagels. The bagels are not warm for the sandwiches. I thought the traditional bagel sandwich (smoked salmon, cream cheese, capers) was alright - honestly felt like the bagel was missing flavoring (likely salt). The line outside wasn't too long, maybe took about 20 minutes to get inside & sit & eat. Not terrible. There are two lines outside, the one to the right (when facing the door) is for takeout bagels ONLY (no sandwiches) the one on the left is for sandwiches & sitting in the restaurant (can also do takeout, but you still need to stand on the line to the left). Last note, if you are HUNGRY these bagels are quite light. You can definitely eat more than one if you want to be full.View more
