But due to the line up the ambiance definitely takes a bit of a hit. Though they never rushed us & we never felt crowded in the venue seeing the line outside the door just really made the place feel a little like I was in a crowded subway. So recommend the food but dont expect to have too much of a conversation with out feeling rushed or distracted. But REGARDLESS definitely worth a visit.View more
Lovely little play for breakfast. Some of the best Bagels in town. Highly recommend it.View more
PHENOMENAL BAGELS! The smoked meat & the Joe bagel were amazing! The atmosphere is POPPING despite the small space & staff super friendly! Would recommend, went twice on my trip!View more
Really tasty bagel place, had ~20 minute queue when we arrived. It is cash only (shown on their menus), so make sure to have some cash on you. Staff were friendly & service was pretty quick. Bagels are a bit denser & smaller than an NYC bagel, & you can order them with cream cheese or as a sandwich. Definitely popular but would recommend a visit! Might try the other original location next time as this one seemed like it was populaView more
The place was very crowded, & we had to wait in line. We ordered two bagels: the WOW! & the Club Bagel with pesto sauce. They were good, but honestly, considering all the hype, they were pretty average. I wouldn't highly recommend it as a go-to bagel spot.View more
I always come back here for some OG Montréal bagels. It gets busy during the afternoon, so I would recommend going there earlieView more
This place was phenomenal. The bagels are super fresh & so much variety. We travelled in from downtown Montreal to come try these bagels & it was worth the time. Highly recommend this place.View more
Excellent restaurant. Highly recommend Le Steak Sandwich & the apple bagel.View more
Early morning on a Saturday wasn't too busy. I can see why these bagels are delicious! I recommend everyone to try'the Joe'. The ricotta & fig jam are delicious.View more
So there's a lot of good things about this place. The service is really good, quick moving lines & very efficient. They do two different line ups for people purchasing sandwiches & those that are getting just a bag of bagels which manages time really well. We got the traditional bagels, all seasoned with smoked salmon & cream cheese & the "Joe Bagel" with ricotta & fig jam on a rosemary & sea salt bagel. The Joe Bagel was really different, the ricotta was light & creamy albeit a little messy to eat. The traditional was good too but lacked a flavour punch. It is also a pet peeve of mine when a bagel isn't cut down the centre & these weren't! Overall, I would say the vibes are definitely there. Is it worth waiting about 30 minutes in line for moderately good bagels? I would say it's subject to personal preference but if we are on the matter of amazing traditional bagels I would highly recommend Cafe Felice that uses St Viateur sesame bagels but have a ton more flavour.View more
AMAZING bagels 💜🥯☕️ absolutely worth the wait! The line moves quickly & theres indoor & outdoor seating; you can also get takeaway & eat on the street thats closed to traffic in the summer. Id recommend the salmon spread instead of cream cheese, & be sure to take away a few bagels on your way out! No gf options but they do have vegan cream cheese & sandwich options.View more
Amazing traditional bagel & orange juice. Way better than any bagel I have had before. Waited in line for 1 hour but it was definitely worth it! Would recommend for anyone visiting Montreal.View more
The system is organised & efficient. Highly recommend the smoked meat & roast beef bagel sandwich. Staff are accommodating & friendly.View more
The service was fast, the food was great. We got the Traditional & Wow! I would recommend the traditional over the Wow. If you are lactose intolerance, beware as they give generous amount of cheese in their bagels.View more
Must Visit place in Monteral!!! Recommend 100% Staff is so friendly tooView more
Best bagel I've had & I've had A LOT of bagels!! Loved it here, busy atmosphere, very cozy, great food & friendly staff. 100 % would recommendView more
Delicious bagels, top-tier service. Tables were full when we got there but only took a few minutes to get seated. They were checking on the customers waiting customers & the service was very quick. Highly recommendView more
We had the Le coco bagel & the Breakfast bagel. Expect about a 30-40 min wait if you intend on dining in today. The staff do their best to rush people in & out, but I'm not sure if I recommend going out of your way for it. The prices are slightly steep considering you could get a bagel in NYC for half the price & 10x more flavor. It is cash only!! The surrounding neighborhood is nice for a a stroll after as well. I was slightly disappointed in the coffee too. But glad I got to see if the hype was worth it.View more
We've been at the restaurant a few times now, & it was time for us to return to have another bagel sandwich. Actually, what made us go & visit was the publicity on the new bagel that was being sold without the hole in the middle there was a lot of controversy around it, & we wanted to go & give it a try for ourselves. Funny enough it does cook way differently as The texture is soft throughout. It's no longer a bagel with crispyness all around it's actually really soft & should not even be considered a bagel really. Anyway, we had our bagel sandwiches. We tried the new' bagel' & it was a fun time out. Where: St-Viateur Bagel & Café, Plateau Montreal What: A café & bagel place How was it: Service is average & a little confusing at times. The delicious St-Viateur bagel is what saves this place. No Bagel = no discovering destinations to come & eat. But seriously, if you are not in the mood to go out to a restaurant - you can simply buy the bagels & stay in. Grade: Eli = 4, Serge = 4- Recommend : The Bagels saves this place !View more
Listen to me. RUN. DO NOT WALK!!! I am not one to visit places that are hyped up but yall got it right with this one. The Le Steak bagel least. I would order solely that over & over again (on a rosemary & sea salt bagel). I was visiting town during a layover & decide to explore. A friend from Toronto recommend I check out this place, & some locals concurred it would be worth a visit before heading back to the airport. So glad I did!!!! Excited to return next time in in Montreal. The lemonade was also really good. The food looks basic as hell but the flavor is THERE. Ooof it a so good. 😭😭 10 out of 10.View more
We always get some when we're in the city. We got 5 dozen to go, the guys there were so very helpful, gave us the necessary bags for packing, & gave us the baker's dozen of course. The aroma is intoxicating right when you walk in. 100% recommend when you're in the city!View more
Stopped in around 11 this morning. I was on my own & had luggage, which I was able to store by the coat rack which was nice. They have eat-in or take out, two separate lines. You're shown which table to sit at when you're in line, as it is counter style ordering. I ordered the smoked meat bagel sandwich & added some veggies which were free, to my surprise. Caramel latte was practically perfect. Staff were friendly, energetic, & the owner or general manager was on-site helping with the flow, as it was quite busy. I ordered a six pack of bagels to go after my meal, a mixture of flavours & was given both a paper bag & a plastic bag (appreciated since I am traveling). I even asked for a small sticker on my way out, & the staff were more than willing to give me a few. Would definitely recommend St. Viateur!! The only comment I have is to beware of the hours, as the "kitchen" hours are when they start & stop all sandwiches & meals (6pm).View more
Awesome bagel with a great price. I really recommend the bagel steak. The average price for the bagels is $13 plus taxes.
The spot is very popular, so be sure to arrive early or be patient to wait a little in line.View more
