The texture of the bagels here, & generally in Montreal, is very different from what we have in Toronto, & I love it here. We ordered the traditional bagel with smoked salmon & cream cheese, as well as the all seeds bagel & rosemary & sea salt bagel. Update: We visited here again after our delightful first experience & tried out different bagel sandwiches this time. We also bought some bagels to take home. We ordered the Le Steak, Wow!, & Le Joe Bagel. All were very delicious, with the Le Steak being our favorite.View more
Food & drinks were good. Waited about 30-40 mins to get in. Liked the different variety in bagels though, très intéressant.View more
The system is organised & efficient. Highly recommend the smoked meat & roast beef bagel sandwich. Staff are accommodating & friendly.View more
It was one of the best bagels I have ever had, competitive to New York. The way they make the bagels is a work of art. Food, service, & atmosphere were amazing. The place is very clean & organized. Busy lines, but they move quickly.View more
Such yummy bagels! The shop was of course busy with tourists but the employees have the system down well to move the line quickly. Everyone was kind & the food was fabulous. It was a great start to a day exploring Montreal.View more
The service was fast, the food was great. We got the Traditional & Wow! I would recommend the traditional over the Wow. If you are lactose intolerance, beware as they give generous amount of cheese in their bagels.View more
Came here June 22, 2024 based on a YouTube recommendation. We lined up & waited for like 40 mins !!! I honestly am not a big judge on bagels. Once you toast it, it tastes mostly like what I got from Costco? I got steak bagel & it has good amount of roast beef & onion. It is good but I will not line up 30 mins for it. I am however impressed by their iced caramel latte. Good strong flavor.View more
Not only the bagels are fresh all the ingredient they use are fresh. Friendly staff. They only accept cash or debit. Parking was hard to find in the area.View more
Un incontournable gustatif de Montréal. Les délicieux bagel St-Viateur sont fourrés de délicieuses préparations comme des aubergines froides ou du saumon.View more
Enjoyed my homemade bagel! Courteous & an enjoyable environment. 😉View more
This destination is must when visiting Montreal. The BEST bagels anywhere! Freshly made in front of you. All the toppings available to purchase. Enjoy! 😎👍🏻View more
Excellent bagels. Getting them fresh makes a difference. Seeing the oven & how they were flipping it was pretty neat too. Note that it's cash & debit only.View more
We had bagel sandwiches at their outdoor tables. I get great bagels at home & these were different in that they are thinner & have larger holes, but they were very good quality with the appropriate bagel density (not bready). My wife & son both had smoked salmon with chive cream cheese & I had the smoked meat, a Canadian specialty. The staff were friendly & helpful & kept things from becoming chaotic.View more
Bagels were excellent. Odd that they dont take credit card. Huge NYC bagel fan..dont expect the same, but theyre amazing in their own way!View more
Bagel romarin fleur de sel...un délice. A tester les bagels déjà fait maintenant .View more
Don't fuss about the long lines on the weekend, it moves very fast. The bagels are delicious! I had the traditional, which was amazing. The cream cheese is super creamy. The service is spectacular, they easily accommodated our family of six. We will be back!! Merci!!View more
A must when in Montreal. I got the salmon & capers which was recommended to me, it wasn't my preference but I wasn't mad! They have lots of options & different bagels, came by early for a less busy experienceView more
C'était pas mal mais je trouve que les prix sont assez élevé un jus d'orange à 9$... mis à part ça l'endroit est pas mal pour goûter au bagelsView more
As a devoted acolyte to the divine altar of the bagel, I relish the opportunity to take the pilgrimage to St. Viateur Bagel & Café. This sacred journey culminates in the divine experience of savoring their heavenly bagels, where each bite is a taste of perfection. They emerge fresh from the traditional wood oven & warm not just my body but my spirit. There is no smell like that of the boulangerie, no taste like the sweet bagel, & no solace like a bag of warm bagels from St. Viateur.View more
Montréal style bagels aren't my preference to be honest I much prefer New York style, BUT I won't give anything but 5 stars for the service super quick welcoming friendly & watching the staff hard at working making these bagels made me appreciate them more ! The in house cream cheese is good but hear me out ... you cannot skip this local one it's unreal better than any brand I've tried beforeView more
Felt like the staff was more trying to get through their orders than actually putting some effort into their bagels. This huge chunk of onion was in my bagel not even the end of it being cut off where to root was attached. The cream cheese was only spread on one side which made it go everywhere from the amount they put in. Spread it on both sides in my opinion would easily resolve the huge mess that came with the bagel. Friendly staff! Everything was freshly made, you can see the bagels being made in front of you & put in their bagel oven so you know it's fresh. Huge line for an ok bagel. Also make sure you have Canadian cash or Canadian debit card only. They don't accept visas. 2023 surely with the amount of business this place is generating they can afford to pay for credit card service.View more
