L'endroit est nice mais l'organisation était pas top la file était toute croche enfaite il y avait pas de file. Au moins le vibe était pas si pire. Overall 7.2/10 comme clu
the most underwhelming/disappointing club experience i have had in montreal thus far. on top of the very expensive drinks & repetitive music, the staff are entirely unprofessional & aggressive. the bouncer openly harassed my friend based on a (government issued & very valid) turkish ID card, saying it was fake & threatening to confiscate it. the issue was only taken care of when my friend was forced to call the COPS to validate her ID (which they obviously did). the literal owner also intimidated her & made her leave a week later when we were there for a friends birthday. the cherry on top is that they also charge a cover for girls half the time (as if this experience could get any worse)
Yesterday night, I was singled out, sworn at, & threatened with arrest by a bouncer here all because I am Turkish & I handed them a valid Turkish ID. The bouncer tried to intimidate me & my friends by saying I would be in serious trouble & even spend time in jail. He arrogantly told me,'I'm calling the cops', trying to frighten me, but when I handed him my dad over the phone, he lied & said he was never going to do that. He also refused to return my valid Turkish ID, causing extreme embarrassment & emotional distress in front of everyone. Another Turkish customer experienced the same treatment that night, showing this is not an isolated incident. When the police confirmed my ID was legitimate & even called the bouncers here'stupid', he did not show any remorse & simply smirked at me like it was a joke. This behavior is discriminatory, arrogant, aggressive, & completely unacceptable. Be aware that staff here may single out & intimidate international visitors or anyone with a foreign ID.
UPDATE: When I returned for a friend's birthday, the owner personally intercepted me & used my previous truthful review as a reason to harass me further (calling it'nasty reviews'). He was incredibly condescending, making ageist remarks like'nice generation' & kicking me out based on the baseless allegation that I physically assaulted him (a middle aged man). He claimed to have this on camera but refused to show any proof because it is a lie designed to cover up his staff's initial discrimination. Despite being calm & having done nothing wrong, I was kicked out without even an offer of a refund. It is alarming that the management is willing to manufacture criminal accusations, keep your money, & use intimidation tactics against customers who speak out. This establishment is professionally bankrupt & operates on a culture of xenophobia & legal framing-stay away.
The staff was untruthful & disrespectful, displaying a casual & unprofessional attitude. Combined with the poor food quality, I definitely would not recommend this place.

Worst place in Montreal. People working there are extremely rude & ignorant. Music & atmosphere are also way below average. I don't know why anyone would want to come here.
32$ pour deux shot de tequila & il me refuse un verre d'eau par contre quand c'est une fille qui le demande on lui donne tout suite
Rendu pour prendre notre manteau nous avions pas reçus de ticket pour les récupérer alors on c'est fait refuser nos manteau avec nos porte feuille dedans !
Sauver vous de l'argent & une soirée & aller ailleurs à ne pas y retourner .
I had an amazing dinner at Soubois tonight, & I have to give a big shoutout to my guy Debo. Even as a busboy, he went above & beyond for me & my friends. He was on point all night - clearing the table quickly, making sure we had everything we needed, & keeping the vibe smooth & comfortable.
You can tell he actually cares about the guest experience, not just doing the bare minimum. His attention to detail & positive attitude really added to our night. Great energy, great service, & super professional.

Sotto was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm & intimate, & every dish was absolutely delicious - authentic, beautifully prepared, & memorable.
Debo truly made the night exceptional. Attentive, knowledgeable, & genuinely welcoming, his service was flawless. Can't wait to go back.
The person at the coat hangers was extremely rude. I lost my ticket & she was NO HELP. She didn't want to give me my coat back even when I described it aswell as my intials & everything. I had to wait until the closure (3 am) & I still don't know if I'm going to get it back. This is ridiculous. ESPECIALLY in the middle of winter…..
I recently had the pleasure of attending an 80s/90s themed event at this establishment. While the club itself is rather intimate, it possesses a truly remarkable atmosphere. I was particularly impressed by the presence of a bathroom attendant, a touch of sophistication I haven't encountered in quite some time, which certainly elevated the club's overall ambiance.
The music was excellent throughout the night, which encouraged me to stay until closing, an experience I haven't had in a few years.
Regarding the pricing of beverages, I must admit I found the cost of individual drinks & shots to be somewhat high. For those planning to enjoy more than a couple of drinks, it might be more economical to consider purchasing a bottle. When shared among a few individuals, this option proves to be significantly more cost-effective than paying $30 for a single glass.
Une boîte de nuit vraiment moyenne, c'était ma deuxième fois au Soubois & c'est pas fabuleux, c'est petit les gens sont très jeunes… rien d'exceptionnel je ne recommande que si vous vous êtes fait recaler des autres club de Montréal
