I like this old school deli. the portion of smoked meat with my breakfast plate was a little light, sad cause it's sooo good. Next time I will gladly pay for extra meat.
We were lucky to be there while it was quiet for a minute after breakfast, the butcher John was super nice & had the time to give us a tour of all the meats & pastries . Of which we bought a few boxes, very good 👍
My family & I love coming here. The vibe is old school, & nostalgic. The bagel & lox is a absolutely delicious. The home potatoes & pancakes are excellent. We always enjoy our meals when we come regardless of what we order. The service is warm & friendly. Definitely one of our top breakfast places.
Snowden Deli is probably the last authentic deli left in Montreal.
Form old timers to newbies , this is a must visit in montreal for smoke meat sandwich, Or pick ups from their deli counter: amazing white fish salad?, Chopped liver, & a variety of other deli classics. Expect long lines on weekends for breakfast.
Went way out of our way to grab a smoked meat sandwich on our last day in Montreal & it was sooo worth it. Not only did they hook us up during breakfast time with a togo sandwich, they told us about the history of the spot & it was probably the warmest welcome we had in all of Canada.
Perfect for a quick, easy meal. Not only is their smoked meat /deli selection delicious, but they have fabulous big breakfasts at very reasonable prices. Omelette with salami, homefries & toast is delicious . Great pancakes as well. Very big variety. Great takeout counter, & the staff is efficient & very friendly.
Such a disappointment after seeing all the good reviews! My wife & I stopped in for breakfast on our way out of Montreal. There was almost no one else there on a Sunday morning, which should have been a clue. My salami & eggs were fine but under seasoned. I "upgraded" to the potato latkes, which had clearly been reheated & were thus greasy & rubbery instead of crisp. My wife's blintzes were also a weird texture like they weren't fresh. The fruit bowl had some nice fresh berries on top of a bunch of hard, under-ripe melon. I had been hoping for a bustling Jewish deli with tasty food & the smell of smoked meat & fish. Instead, I got a sleepy diner with reheated food & Breton crackers behind the counter.

Best smoke meat in Montreal with the best old school deli atmosphere. Breakfast & lunch are top notch. Catering & to-go counter as well. No one does it better.

The highlight is undoubtedly their smoked meat, which confidently claims the title of'The Best.' Consistency is key here; each visit & every bite deliver an experience of pure perfection.
