A true Mile End gem! Serrano Bar-B-Q has been doing one thing exceptionally well for over 40 years, & our visit made it obvious why locals love this place.

The chicken & pork sandwiches were incredible. The rotisserie chicken sandwich is everything it's hyped to be. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, & served on a soft round Portuguese bun that soaks up all that flavor. The crispy pork sandwich was just as good, tender with those crackly edges that make it irresistible. Simple, unpretentious, & honestly some of the best sandwiches in Montreal. Pro tip: ask them to add a ladle of the chicken broth for extra juiciness…total game changer.

It's a tiny counter spot, easy to walk right past, but that's part of the charm. The staff are warm & welcoming, the prices are very fair, & the whole experience feels like a neighbourhood classic that's earned its reputation honestly.

If you're hunting for the best chicken sandwich in Montreal or a great cheap eats spot in Mile End, Serrano Bar-B-Q is a must visit. Five stars, no hesitation, I'll be back.

I came here 8 years ago & fell in love with the juicy pork sandwich with the cracklings. I'm back here again & it hasnt changed. Still the same, crackling, juicy & balanced out with coleslaw.

The best sandwich of your life! they serve chicken OR pork sandwiches. They prepare it like - pollo a la barbacoa - Peruvian style. A must try in the Mile end.

Serrano Bar-B-Q has been a Mile End institution for 40 years, & for good reason. They are best-known for their roasted chicken sandwiches, but the sausage sandwich & the roasted pork ribs/belly are my personal favorites.

The food isn't fancy or trendy, but it's delicious, reasonably priced, & the staff are very welcoming. If that sounds good to you, then I highly suggest stopping by!

Excellent sandwich place. I come here often for lunch. The meat is juicy & tender. The toppings are plenty & flavourful, the price is really good too. This is known as a chicken place, but personally I think the roasted pork is the best thing on the menu. Get any sandwich with sauce/gravy. Only gripe is service is a bit slow since they shred the chicken/chop the pork to order. Sausages & potatoes are good too. I usually do takeout since it feels like an oven in the store & it's not nicest storefront but in the winter, it's probably nice & warm.

we had the pork sandwich & the chicken leg sandwich- both were great! would recommend getting it spicy (it's not that spicy, think mild spicy mayo). The pork sandwich was incredible, the crispy skin really adds a nice crunch to the sandwich. Definitely ask the ladies there to add the chicken juice to your sandwich, you won't regret it! super great value too!

Been here a couple of times & it's pretty good.The pork sandwiches however are always unavailable as they run out which is my favorite.
