Une véritable institution du poulet à Montréal. Je vais à cette rôtisserie pour leur sandwiches au poulet (cuisse, évidement), leurs saucisses & les patates depuis plus de 20 ans. Il faut absolument prendre du bouillon dans son sandwich ou sur son poulet. Le poulet rôti est probablement le meilleur en ville. Pas beaucoup de place sur place, mais parfait pour emporter.

Habitué des rotisseries portuguaises à Montréal, je m'attendais à un poulet savoureux & juteux. Hélas, pour 20 $, j'ai eu un poulet rikiki & sec, sans jus & sans sauce. Vu la concurrence, Serrano a intérêt à améliorer sa recette, parce qu'actuellement, il y a beaucoup mieux dans le genre dans la métropole.

This lowkey rotisserie spot is not very polished but is standing on a 40+ year legacy that keeps customers coming. Honestly it kind of reminded me of the Portugese rotisserie spots I used to eat at in North York, Ontario with it's down-homey atmosphere. Menu is focused on sandwiches & plates featuring their expertly prepared meats. I went for the chicken breast sandwich, which was packed with a nice portion of meat. I was impressed by how nicely the sandwich held together despite it's size, it was expertly prepared. The price-to-portion ratio at this place is righteous, enough to wave off the lack of comfortable seating. Service was good too.
Je viens au BBQ Serrano depuis que je suis jeune. J'ai toujours adoré cet endroit & je n'ai jamais eu de mauvais service… jusqu'à la semaine dernière. Je suis arrivée à 7h43 pm, l'horaire affiché indique une fermeture à 8h. Je peux comprendre qu'on refuse de servir à la dernière minute, mais ce qui m'a dérangée, c'est que les poulets étaient encore là, visibles & prêts à être servis. Ce n'était pas un manque de nourriture, mais un manque de volonté de servir.
J'ai essayé de parler avec eux simplement pour poser une question sur le lendemain (si vers 17h il y aurait du porc, car je finis à cette heure-là), & leur signaler que l'horaire devrait être mis à jour, surtout que j'avais conduit 30 minutes pour venir. Ils m'ont ignorée, ont jamais voulu ouvrir la porte pendant que il y avais 3 employers & javais juste une question, alors qu'ils m'entendaient clairement. Franchement, c'était humiliant!!!
Je ne connais pas ces nouveaux employés jamais vus avant mais je les ai trouvés froids, désagréables & clairement pas accueillants.
La nourriture reste excellente comme toujours, mais ce genre d'expérience me donne clairement plus envie de revenir. C'est dommage pour un resto que j'ai toujours apprécié & que jencourage depuis a cause que cest ma culture ! BREF A suivre

The chicken sandwich is delicious, filling & healthy. The workers are friendly & efficient. The only little thing is the bone left in the sandwich, but it's not a big qualm. Overall, great place!
