We came across this restaurant in September 2025 on our first night in Old Montreal. We ate outside on a beautiful evening close to closing time. The food was very good, the drinks were good, the service was very slow. The server was kind & polite, we just didn't see much of her once we received our food. We loved the food & view, so we would definitely go back.
My husband & I had the pleasure of eating here for a late lunch. The staff was phenomenal, the executive chef Rob was so enthusiastic & created some beautiful & mouthwatering dishes that he took the time to explain to us. We had the oysters, slaw, & shrimp & scallops ceviche. The slaw was great & the ceviche was fresh & light & not fishy. I highly recommend anyone visiting Seasalt for some great seafood & a few laughs from the bartender & chef!

This place has $1 Oysters 3-6pm EVERYDAY.... I was searching for 3 hours to find Oysters on a random sunny Monday, & Google blessed me with this find. I caught the tail end of buck-a-shuck. The East Coast Oysters were to die for, & the house made yuzu & jalapeno minionettes/accompaniments were awesome. It's in a beautiful, must be like 300ish year old building with exposed stone & time period accents. It is right on Rue Commune & Place Royal. The outside patio is spacious & has great views. Also, if you're lucky, the head chef may be the one who is shucking oysters at the bar right in front of you!
On beautiful day as it was when we visited, this terrace was cozy & relaxing. Felt like we were on vacation even if we weren't, which is always nice! Food was good, nothing fancy, with a nice selection of summer classics. Our waiter was professional & efficient. Overall great spot for a casual meal.
The food is amazing & very reasonably priced for old port, staff is very kind, the service was great very fast & efficient, music is great, the patio is beautiful, probably the nicest I've seen in the old port. 10/10 would recommend!

He took the time to check on each table, ensuring everyone was enjoying their meal & providing personalized recommendations. Now, onto the star of the show - the food. Sea Salt offers a diverse menu that celebrates the bounty of the ocean. I started with the octopus carpaccio, which was beautifully presented & incredibly fresh. The delicate flavors were enhanced by a drizzle of olive oil & a sprinkle of sea salt, letting the quality of the ingredients shine through. For the main course, I opted for the seafood risotto. It was a masterpiece. The risotto was creamy & perfectly cooked, infused with the rich flavors of lobster, scallops, & shrimp. Each bite was a delightful blend of textures & tastes that left me craving more. Dessert was equally impressive. I chose the lemon tart, a light & refreshing end to a superb meal. The tart crust was perfectly crisp, & the lemon filling was a harmonious balance of sweet & tart. Overall, Sea Salt exceeded my expectations in every way. The combination of exquisite cuisine, outstanding service, & a charming atmosphere makes it a standout dining destination in Montreal. Enrik's dedication to providing an unforgettable experience is evident in every detail. Beautiful patio & great service. The food was just right & the portions were exactly what I was hoping for. So happy we stopped by & it wasn't a tourist trap like so many of the other places in the old port of Montreal. We didn't get a chance to try the cocktails but are coming back for those for sure.

Beautiful terrace, wonderful food & excellent service. We had the seafood roll, the fish & chips & the crab croquettes. All were incredible, the best lobster roll I have had in Montreal! great wine selection, excellent cocktails & Jasmine was so helpful & kind. Can't wait to be back, thanks for a lovely afternoon, Jasmine!
Held a very important work event last night. Food was outstanding, vibe was awesome, staff were amazing. Kudos to executive chef Rob Leonard who was a charm to deal with from the get go, GM Enrik who was so accommodating, & Maika who worked her butt off serving dinner for 14 & then canapés for 35. Prices were totally reasonable as well! Presentation of the food was also beautiful! I will definitely return when I go back to Montreal. Many thanks for making me good. Love you guys!
Amazing night at Seasalt! We were in Montreal just for a night & decided to go for a drink. We sat down at the nice bar & enjoyed a beautiful glass of red wine. The bartender was super friendly, professional & warm. & our waitress super kind. We loved our drink there & would go back with pleasure!
A real gem of a restaurant in Montreal's Old Port. Great vibes, a beautiful terrasse, top tier food, & excellent service, even at the busiest of times. Food-wise, the seafood roll is absolute fire, the fish&chips deliver a lovely non-traditional twist, & everything else I've had has been super solid, & reasonably priced considering the location. Shout outs to Manager Enrik & Bartender Olivier, both true captains of industry. 10/10 would recommend.

It was a beautiful afternoon spent on the Sea Salt Ceviche patio. Our server Karen was so attentive & the foid was delicious. We had the seafood salad & the salmon with quinoa yummy!!
Delicious food- had the crab cake, calamari, shrimp tacos, & beautiful buttery grilled octopus 💋. We sat on the patio, lovely atmosphere & excellent service from our server (Juan). I would highly recommend dining here at Sea Salt! Will definit
