Le meilleur smoke meat de montreal,du quebec ,du Canada ,d'Amérique du nord .
Prenez le médium, du gras mais pas trop .
Gros bémol le cornichon à l'aneth vraiment pas terrible.
Armez vous de patience généralement il y'a un line up
À l'interieur on remonte dans le temps & c'est vraiment ça qui crée un ambiance aussi cool .
Les serveurs ......ouais bon on vas dire pour être smart qu'ils sont désabusés
Quant aux tarifs ils sont ce qu'ils sont c'est à dire cher ,même très chzr pour un sandwich un cheery coke & une frite mais bon ont le sait avant même de rentrer !

I was worried this place wouldn't live up to the hype, but I was wrong. Ordered both the sandwich & poutine & both were amazing. I'll be dreaming about this place for a long time. It was busy but the lineup moved fast & we were happy to be seated at the counter where they were busy serving to hungry diners. Highly recommended.

Very sad to write this review. My first time back in 20 years was extremely disappointing. While waiting in the takeout line on the sidewalk, a very rude employee put his hand in my face, closed the door & said not to come inside until there was more room. The smoked meat was not prepared properly, all I tasted was tons of salt, & the bread pieces were so small - the slices of rye looked like they'd been halved - it was impossible to pick as a sandwich. I paid $17 for that. One of the framed articles at the back said the latest owner tried to make improvements, encouraging employees to be more friendly, to not put off tourists. It's not working. I won't be back. Fix your recipe & your attitude please.

If you want Montreal smoked meat, this is the place to get it. In addition to the classic sandwich, you can also forgo the silly bread & just opt for a plate of smoked meat. Yes, smoked meat poutine is also a thing here. This place does get pretty busy, so if there's a long line, consider grabbing something to go from their take-out location (literally right next door to the main restaurant).

It's so good! It has a smoky flavor & melts in your mouth, though it can get a bit heavy towards the end. Definitely eat it while it's hot & fresh, as it can start to feel a little greasy once it cools down.

We arrived around 7:30 PM, & the queue was so long that we decided to order takeaway instead. It only took about 5 minutes to get our food!

Best smoked meat sandwich of all time! Turnover is quite fast, we waited for 15m-ish for Sunday lunch. We always get the plate of meat to make our own sandwiches. Our server recommend cherry soda & I am glad I took his words. Great pair with the sandwich. Can't wait to go back there next time I visit Montreal
